DO NOT stay here. The heat in my bedroom didn’t work (on a day where temps were in the 50’s). Supposedly they were doing renovations so the television didn’t work. The tub had a crack in it that expanded overnight. Breakfast was cold. After changing to a new room, neither television worked and the pool was cold. Didn’t bother with breakfast on day 2 which alleviated pay for a hotel that offered breakfast. Finally its close proximity to the road. They didn’t bother adjusting my bill for the inconvenience and you can’t check out early if you are not satisfied without incurring a fee so just don’t book here.

First of all, keep in mind that Fairfield has become Marriott's "budget conscious" brand. This branch of Marriott seems to have declined as a whole over the past few years (this is the second Fairfield I have stayed in this year, and I had a similar experience at the last one). The BAD: 1. I arrived at around 2:15pm and was hoping for an early check-in. No rooms were available at that time, which I absolutely understand. I was told by Miguel that the wait would be around 30 minutes. I know that early check-in is never a guarantee. So I waited in the lobby, but my room was not available to me until around 3:15pm (when check-in was supposed to be at 3pm). I also had to keep going up to the front desk to ask for updates, no one came and updated me while I waited in the lobby. 2. The room is....old. Clearly some rennovations have been made over the past few years, but the entire building seems to be falling apart. The carpet was coming apart near the window, there was sticky residue all over the desk, the bathroom had some stains that I would rather not know where they came from. However, the sheets & towels were clean, and the bed was fine. 3. I've never been a fan of the in-room coffee makers (they're rarely cleaned), so I usually rely on the lobby coffee. MOST Marriott brand hotels I stay at keep hot coffee in the lobby, day & night. Not this one. I came downstairs for coffee at 5am, and it was ice cold, clearly not replaced since yesterday. The lady at the front desk stared at me as I poured the cold coffee, not offering to replace it. The ONLY time the coffee was actually hot was at 6am when breakfast started. 4. This hotel is cutting corners to try to save money. You'll notice that the "little things" are missing. A pen & notepad on the desk in your room. A box of tissues. A bar of soap. Off-brand body wash rather than the regular Marriott Alice & Co stuff. I understand that this hotel is a "budget" option, but even Fairfield has standards to maintain. 5. I left my bag with the Front Desk agent when I checked out in the morning, planning on returning to get it after a few meetings. The person at the front desk (Miguel) didn't seem to understand what I was asking. I've never had an issue with leaving a bag at the front desk at ANY other hotel I've stayed at in the past, it's a very common request. And when I returned for my bag, I had to wait for around 15 minutes to find someone at the Front Desk to help me retrieve my bag. What was so frustrating is that the lady at the front desk DID see me standing there waiting for someone to help me (she was sitting in the lobby on her laptop, rather than sitting behind the desk), but she didn't even bother trying to see what I needed until I rang the bell on the counter (after waiting 15 minutes)! I had no idea she even worked there, since she was just leisurely sitting in the lobby. The GOOD: - Breakfast was on-time, and the variety of options were nice. There was plenty of seating for breakfast. -Parking is free, and the lot feels relatively safe. Easy access to 45. -The water is quick to heat up and stays hot. All in all, you get what you pay for. But I don't think I'd stay here again -- If I wanted THIS much of a "budget" option, I would have chosen Four Points by Sheraton next door.

Arrived with family and friends and immediately found spiders on our bed. The bathroom tub and tiles were rusty and dirty. Front desk staff showed no empathy and said housekeeping was off due to the holidays. We were also wrongly charged for the full stay for two rooms instead of the $100 security hold, leaving us with barely enough money to move to another hotel. We had to leave the same day and relocate to Wyndham Sugar Land Houston. Unacceptable experience. Do not recommend.

We stayed 2 nights and found this motel to be quiet comfortable and appealing. The room was clean and spacious, the beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a variety of items to choose from both hot and cold. It was convenient to the airport. I would stay there again if we were in Houston again. The only negative was they had run out of Kleenex.

Our room had water damage and had a weird smell. The cleaning people stood outside our door popping packaging bubbles and were obnoxiously loud. We had no towels in our room— it was frustrating.
