Location is everything! Love living in City Centre! Love the amenities here (dog park, 2 pools, bbq lounge area, gyms, and coffee/clubhouse). Really some of the best! We move around the country a lot for work (and a few places around the world) and I will say that this complex doesn’t do many activities for the residents like other high end apartments do (wine nights, holiday parties, painting parties, etc). The apartments are fine. Kitchen storage is horrible but you can walk to many great restaurants. Parking is awful in the car park. Very small spots, most next to cement poles. My car has already been hit once. We pay for 3 spots for 2 cars because of it. And everything being electronic (all doors, car park entrance/exit, access to buildings) means when there is a power outage there is as proof where nothing works. Live here for the amenities and location and put up with the rest.

DO NOT RENT HERE. Failure of Safety and Integrity. I have lived here for several years. While it was awesome initially, the last 1.5 years, more recently under Greystar management have been a total decline. This complex is old, dirty, and structurally failing, but the real reason residents are fleeing is the "leadership" of Jamie and Lucy, who consistently gaslight residents, minimize safety hazards, and lack basic transparency. Security & Safety are Non-Existent In just the past few months, we have had car thefts from the garage, burglaries, and vandalism. There are NO security cameras, elevators and garage gates are always broken, and door access points fail regularly. The Response: When confronted, management told us that Houston is a "large city" and we must be "extra vigilant," essentially admitting they will not fix the security features we pay for. Parking Negligence: There is zero enforcement. Non-residents park here constantly because other residents let them in, and despite "towing" signs, it never happens. Censorship: Any time a resident tries to warn others about crime on the Cobu app, management deletes the post, calling it "drama." It’s not drama; it’s a safety warning for our neighbors. Negligence Toward Families and Seniors We have elderly residents, children, and pets living here who are being put at risk. In the past few weeks alone, we’ve had a building fire, brown water, and deafening fire alarms going off at 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM. There was not a single email from leadership to address these safety issues. They either blame the residents or claim they "don’t have the money" to fix anything. Corporate Culture of Deception Greystar’s lack of ethics is a matter of public record. In December 2025, Greystar was forced to pay a $24 million settlement to the FTC for charging hidden "junk fees" to residents. In October 2025, they agreed to pay $50 million to settle a class-action lawsuit for allegedly using algorithms to illegally inflate and "fix" rent prices. Yet, locally, they continue to hide fees and prioritize their bottom line over the safety of the people paying them thousands in rent every month. The Verdict: As a former property manager myself, I am appalled. If you value your safety and your hard-earned money, stay away. This management team treats resident safety as a nuisance and basic maintenance as an optional expense. I anticipate a lot of people to be leaving, but nothing will change this management until something bad or illegal happens and they get sued. If you want a glimpse of how serious this is, just know that there are many of us that are seeking legal counsel, although Greystar and leadership is very tight lipped, whistleblower methods (state Consumer Protections) and some are considering to call the media (maybe the only thing that will work). Save yourself the headache and go visit SYNC, Ascent or the Pearl. We all loved the area and many of us loved our units and would have loved to be able to stay. Would have been cheaper and easier. We made a home here. But we’re not going to let Greystar take advantage of us. There’s just better options and some management teams actually care. Not this one.

AVOID! The Location is Great, But the Property is Systemically Flawed and Management is Disastrous. When we moved into this property, it already had issues. However, the old management at least made an effort to address maintenance concerns. Since the new management company took over, the building has spiraled into an absolute nightmare of neglected maintenance, abysmal customer service, and chronic structural issues that are only getting worse. Do not rent here or at their sister property, the lofts, you will regret it. Maintenance and Safety Issues: • Elevator Disaster: Multiple elevators have been broken for months, often leaving residents stranded. The remaining working elevators constantly rattle and shake, feeling perpetually on the verge of breakdown. • Parking Garage Hazards: The parking garage gate is constantly malfunctioning. Safety mirrors inside the garage are damaged, obscuring views of oncoming traffic and creating dangerous blind spots. • Alignment-Killing Speed Bumps: The speed bumps in the garage are far too severe, causing significant stress and damage to vehicles. I am forced to get a wheel alignment every one to two months as a direct result of these aggressive, poorly designed bumps, which, ironically, do nothing to deter actual speeders. • Useless Amenities: The community grills are almost always empty of propane. Maintenance requests to refill them are ignored, rendering the amenity unusable. Management and Staff: • Billing System Chaos: When new management took over, we were locked out of the online billing system. Instead of resolving the technical issue, the staff suggested we pay costly money order fees and deliver payment by hand. We were stonewalled and had to escalate the issue to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) before management made any meaningful effort to fix it. It still took nearly two months to resolve. • Package Black Hole: Staff routinely loses track of packages. It can take days for them to process and place items into the secure lockers. Residents are often forced to take matters into their own hands, going directly to the mailroom to dig through piles of deliveries themselves. • General Unresponsiveness: The staff is consistently unhelpful and unresponsive to nearly every issue brought to their attention. The current management is significantly worse than the prior team. In-Unit Quality of Life: • Chronic Mold and Pest Issues: There are constant issues with moisture and mold in the unit. Despite repeatedly bringing this to the attention of staff and maintenance, they have been completely unhelpful and the issue persists. This high moisture level also attracts silverfish. Multiple pest control visits have done absolutely nothing to solve the underlying environmental problem. • Sub-Par Appliances: The in-unit dryer is grossly inefficient. A normal, small load often requires two full cycles just to get clothes completely dry. • Awful Connectivity: The building's internet service is terrible and a constant hassle. Furthermore, the essential Ethernet ports within the unit are completely non-functional. Bottom line: The location is the only positive. The building’s management, safety, and operational incompetence make this property a financial and emotional liability. Look elsewhere.

My experience in trying to rent an apartment has been awful. On a Saturday the sales person Christopher Malik showed me around and I explained my requirements and preferences. Although he promised to get back to me early the following week he did not despite several calls and reminders. Then the following week he let me know that the apartment I preferred was becoming available but I needed to make an application which costed $75. I did and two weeks later I have still not heard about the apartment and therefore brought my business elsewhere. I do not know if it is just incompetence by Mr Malik or it is a scam structured to take your application money. Just be careful they are not transparent and have very poor communications. It is unfortunate because the facilities are very nice. I was contacted by Domain Management on December 7. They apologized and promised to send a cheque with the refund. As of January 14 I have not received. I also left a voice message which of course was not replied to. Another broken promise!

We had a great visit at the Domain yesterday as we continue to evaluate apartments in the Town & Country (CityCentre) area. Our leasing agent and tour guide, Chris Malik, was super helpful - very knowledgeable and supportive of our quest to find the right apartment at the right price. He asked all the right questions and listened carefully to understand our needs and desires for a new home and quickly identified several good options for us. We looking forward to working with Chris as we make our decision in the near future.
