Meyerland Martial Arts has been an incredible experience for my son. He started just over a year ago at age 4 and is now in his second year of training at 5. In that time, I’ve seen him grow in confidence, discipline, and focus—but most importantly, he has so much FUN! The staff have a wonderful way of connecting with the kids, making sure every student feels respected, seen, and heard. They balance structure with encouragement, taking the art seriously while keeping classes enjoyable and engaging. One of the mottos on the wall says, “Don’t practice until you get it right. Practice until you can’t get it wrong.” I love this mindset and even remind my son of it at home. I’m truly impressed with the skills he’s learned and how dedicated he is to his training. He looks forward to every class and carries the values of respect, kindness, and self-love beyond the studio. I honestly can’t recommend Meyerland Martial Arts and their amazing staff enough. As a bonus, we even hosted his birthday party here—and it was phenomenal! My son was thrilled to celebrate in a place he loves, and the staff made it such a smooth, memorable experience. I barely had to lift a finger, not even kidding! If you’re looking for a unique experience, I would recommend inquiring about parties here!! It was a huge success and I was blown away by their efforts to make my son’s special day so exciting. I started as a super morbidly obese adult and it was the best decision I ever made. I was able to work at my own pace while still being pushed outside my comfort zone. I trained for an extended period of time (including taking time off), but eventually earned my black belt. The owner (Master Mike) and the instructors are top tier and do all they can to help anyone willing to learn. It is an investment in yourself that cannot be matched. Although they also train kids and young adults, don’t let that stop you from starting. You won’t regret it! Thank you Meyerland Martial Arts for everything you have done for me.

My kids and I started our martial arts journey at Meyerland Martial Arts near the start of covid and these many years later we are still here learning, growing and thankful for the journey. I have personally taken several forms of martial arts over my lifetime but i have never stayed the course as long as I have at Meyerland Martial Arts and it’s no surprise. I jumped in to take lessons with my kids as a non traditional way of father/daughter&son time and to teach them, by example, the power of dedication and what can be built by staying the course, working at something consistently over time and becoming part of something greater. What we have found, over the years, at Meyerland Martial Arts has been wonderful. The team and staff have provided a safe environment to learn in, Master Mike is rightly focused on quality instruction while keeping everyone safe and, after time, it has come to feel like family more than just a place to take martial arts classes. Over the years, things don’t always run smoothly, some days have been better than others and things have shifted at times. But, that’s true in every aspect of my life - that’s just part of being human. That said, what we have always found is a safe place where we always have the opportunity to learn and grow and where there is a team of individuals, under the leadership of Master Mike, that are partners in our journey of learning, fitness and self improvement. If you’re looking for a place to learn martial arts, I recommend Meyerland Martial Arts without reservation. Whether you stay for a short time or many years like us, I know you will feel welcome everyday and will always have an opportunity to learn something new or get better at something you’re working to master. Meyerland Martial Arts was an integral part of my son's lives during their critical pre-teen and teen years. Meyerland taught my boys, discipline, respect and the importance of leading a healthy life. I highly recommend this program for both children and adults as I attended along with my boys. I was the most fit while attending class there. Join Meyerland Martial Arts, you will be glad you did for your lifetime

While my daughter was dubious of the idea in general before her first visit, after a few weeks she absolutely loves it here and I like how much exercise she is getting. Home and straight to bed most nights. Two thumbs up.
