Mercer Park Disc Golf
Reviews
Great course. Quite a few trees that make it a fun challenge, but still good for beginners. Not too crowded either.

Mercer county park commission destroyed some trails here to create blinds for the dear hunting season. I Literally watched them move trees and build a berm with a bulldozer. They took out the berm after the hunting season but overgrowth was well established for a couple effective new blinds and they broke through and flatten out other old piles in the woods to create more blinds. Your also picking up and assortment of lantern fly stages, special delivery courtesy PSEG last year, to distribute throughout the state. You can see that post in the video from the parking lot your less than a football field away from it through most of the coarse.

A generally good time, with various obstacles at different holes. The course could use some TLC, since some of the signage and hole maps are very faded and weathered, and some are just plain missing. The greens are basically maintained, although the rough could stand some additional trimming to scale back the crazy overgrowth of ground creep, which easily swallows up discs. There are several "hungry" trees, whose appetite for drivers seems insatiable and there's plenty of other wildlife to keep things interesting. Watch your ankles - gopher holes a-plenty just waiting to take you out! UPDATE: Since the original posting, several improvements have taken place at the course. Many of the holes have new tee boxes made with some very nice pavers that are a huge improvement from the old, carpeted box platforms. Additionally, there are flagged OBs which add a new level of fun and challenge in several holes. Great job!

seasoned disc golfers may not enjoy no elevation or water but it's a nice local 18 to sharpen skills.
