Im a little shocked by some of the reviews here. I’ve rode here about 4-5 times now, and my experience has been nothing short of wonderful. From the phone call to ask question, to meeting Amy, Granger, and the office folks. To getting lessons with Josh, Lauren, and Agnes. Everything has been great! Some recommendations: 1) Ask what the experience is like, because this isn’t a ranch with trails. It’s in the city, convenient, and with the goal of getting you spending time with a horse and learning to improve your riding. 2) You will spend time tacking, grooming, and preparing your horse every time. I’m 50/50 on this because it comes out of your “riding time” but learn to appreciate it because there’s something special about not using gods creation as JUST tools. Groom your horse, take care of it, feed it, and you’ll appreciate the whole experience. 3) be a good communicator with your trainer. Tell them what your goals are, where you want to focus, and be proactive about asking where you can improve. Each trainer has their own style. I highly recommend booking a few sessions, and really think you’ll enjoy it.

Been going here for almost 2 years now and it has been an amazing experience. The instructors are very good and nice and I have learned a lot from them. I fallen in love with so many of the horses here and they are all well cared for and loved. I joined show team after a year being there and it was been a great experience. I love going to shows with my friends and it is always so fun to hang out and show together. I love all of the show team girls who are very nice and sweet and I can’t wait to do it all over again. Magic moments is an amazing opportunity and experience that made me a better rider and made me fall in love with horseback riding. I can’t wait to continue on with this new found passion.

I was a client of Magic Moment for some time before I moved to the PNW last year. It was the second barn I had been to in my adult amateur life so I didn’t really know what to expect. After having been to a few different barns now, man do I miss this place. They were so easy to communicate with, flexible with scheduling privates, clean saddle pads and blankets with their laundry on site and the actual working bathroom is awesome! I keep meaning to reach out each time I come visit Houston, I’d love to reconnect with the place who taught me the basics ◡̈

I can no longer support Magic Moments Stable. After witnessing the level of care their horses were receiving, I realized it wasn’t a safe or healthy environment, for me or my child. The issues became even clearer when an entire team of staff and trainers left at the same time, along with 10 plus boarders. I’ve since moved to a new barn, a bit farther away, and the difference in horse care is night and day. Horses deserve proper attention, love, and management—and unfortunately, this barn falls short. They are more than welcome to defend themselves, have people post good reviews, but trust me or come see for yourselves. Horses in stalls all day, dirty fans, flies, hard dirt arena, nowhere to really ride, I see the difference now that I am at a different barn. Not to mention the large mountain of horse poop. If you’re considering boarding here, I strongly encourage you to look closely at the conditions and ask questions about care. These animals deserve so much better. SO MUCH BETTER!

I would strongly advise anyone considering Magic Moment Stable to think twice before booking. Despite the promise of a discounted 4‑hour lesson package, what I experienced was completely unprofessional. Upon arrival, the “lesson” consisted of 15 minutes spent cleaning and saddling the horse myself, followed by 30 minutes in the saddle without any instruction at all. During those 30 minutes, the horse even began to noticeably limp, which is extremely concerning and unacceptable for any riding facility. The final 15 minutes were spent unsaddling and cleaning the horse again. In total, this was presented as a one‑hour lesson, but there was no actual teaching involved. When I raised these issues with the owner, she showed no concern whatsoever. She simply offered to cancel the package and refunded only $275 out of the $375 I had paid, keeping $100 without any explanation or apology. As an experienced rider, I have never encountered such a lack of professionalism. I absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone.
