IT’S NOT EASY BEING GREEN 🌿Relaxed. Inviting. WALKING PARK.🌿 with Free Parking One of the BEST areas of the bayou for a calm, strolling walk. Close to the main VISITOR BUILDING, water peacefully trickles off rock, creating a little waterfall. Looking around, I could take-in the lovely manicured park with the Houston skyline as a backdrop. 🏙 Walked a while. Then sat on one of the shaded benches. Felt safe🔒the entire time. 🟢 BEFORE YOU ASK, Yes, the WATER IS GREEN (as pictured). It is the bayou, after all. However, the park has done a wonderful job with what they have. You almost forget the water is green…almost. 🙃 🆓🅿️ Lots of FREE PARKING. This portion of the park has its own free parking lot. It’s not large, but no problem parking during the morning. You can always park along Allen Parkway at the many offsets from the main road.

Lovely atmosphere, beautiful gardens, and meandering pathways. This is a romantic spot in evenings and a daytime family getaway on weekends. There's ample parking and two places to dine before five.

Came here to run based on a friend's recommendation. Although the center was closed, the restrooms were open. Yay! Quaint little area to start a walk or run.

Loved finding this tourist attraction in Houston. It's perfect for a day out with so much to do in one place. I loved walking around the grounds and experiencing great views. Awesome photo opps and great food at the kitchen.

An amazing addition to the Buffalo Bayou park system that has completely changed the landscape with a well designed gardens and walking trails.
