Had the most memorable day of fishing today with Clay!! He is the man. My fiance and I had one of the best days you could possibly have on the water. We’ll never forget it!! Would highly recommend fishing with Clay no matter your skill level. I have been coming to Galveston since I was young and never have I had a fishing trip like this one!! So epic. Thank you Clay!

I’ve had the privilege of fishing with Clay a few times now and I’m confident in saying there aren’t many guides out there that work as hard as he does to get you opportunities for fish. He might give you a hard time for missing a shot, but it’s in good fun. Then he’ll immediately work to get you another opportunity on the next fish. Clay also takes boat and water safety extremely serious, which is refreshing in today’s guide climate. I’ll always go to Buggy Whipping for my Galveston saltwater fly fishing needs

I had my very first sight fishing experience with Captain Clay, and it was hands down one of the best days I’ve ever had on the water. Within the first hour, he had me hooked up with three redfish! His ability to spot fish, position the boat, and walk me through each cast was incredible — especially for a beginner like me. On top of being an expert guide, Captain Clay is hilarious. He had me laughing the entire time, which made the trip feel less like a guided tour and more like fishing with a friend. His passion, patience, and personality really made the day something special. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, fun, and all-around awesome fishing guide, Captain Clay is your guy. I can’t wait to go again! 🎣

SO MUCH FUN! Clay is one heck of a captain and fishing guide. He put us on a TON of beautiful fish and showed us an incredible time on the water. I’ve been fishing for over 20 years and Clay gave my buddy and I one of the more enjoyable days I’ve had on the water. We had a fantastic day on the water with Capt. Clay. He did a great job of patiently teaching and instructing, helping us improve our casting techniques to be more successful. All day he worked hard to put us on lots of fish and give us countless opportunities to catch multiple species. The highlight of the trip for me was landing my personal best fish on a fly rod, a 29.5 inch red fish! I can’t wait to get back out with Capt. Clay to fish again! Capt. Clay was kind, personal and extremely hard working. He is an expert guide and I’m happy to recommend him to others. Thanks Capt. Clay for a great day of fishing!
