My son’s Scout Pack recently did the Swimming with the Sharks overnight experience. I will admit there was very little communication prior to the event and when we arrived, we had a little hiccup but short of that, the experiencing was amazing. Our guide for the overnight was Brandon and I can’t say enough about how awesome and knowledgeable he was with all the animals. He honestly made the experience 5 stars. This young man has a lot of knowledge and an obvious love for what he does. Also, I strongly recommend this adventure for anyone in groups of 10 or more because it is minimal cost and the things you get to do and see are top notch!

This was a great experience, to go a do on a mid winter brake. We flew all the way from mi to come and visit this place. The animals were all well taken care of .They showed there personalities and could tell that they enjoyed there handlers. The staff was very pleasant and well knowledgeable about all there animals. They made sure to check up on you and you were having the best experience possible. But listen if you go here make sure you go and bother TRAVIS, he was just amazing. From him making sure we got to see the whole place, feed the otters, answered our questions, show us how he feed his young octopus and his tour. The way he expressed his love for his aquatic animals and his sharks from birth. My son loved and learned so much about alot of things during this visit. Don't forget to get you a couple of fish heads rub in the palm of you hand 😉. Highly recommend when visiting houston we will be coming back.

I had such an amazing experience at the Houston Interactive Aquarium, and I honestly can’t recommend it enough. On a cold Houston day when staying home sounded tempting, we found out they were having a $10 admission sale, so we decided to go—and it turned out to be one of the best spontaneous decisions we’ve made. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was welcoming and upbeat. The staff greeted us warmly and took the time to explain how everything worked, including the interactive experiences and the point system. The aquarium itself was clean, well-maintained, and easy to walk through, which made the visit feel comfortable and stress-free. Even though it was cold outside, it felt cozy and lively inside—perfect for escaping the gloomy weather. What really makes the Houston Interactive Aquarium stand out is how hands-on it is. This isn’t just a walk-and-look type of place. You actually get to interact with the animals, which makes the experience fun and memorable for both kids and adults. Feeding fish, touching stingrays, and getting up close with different animals made everything feel exciting and engaging. It was educational without feeling boring, and you could tell the animals are well cared for. One feature I really appreciated was their point system. You earn points to use for feedings and interactions, and here’s the best part—if you don’t use all your points during your visit, they roll over and can be used on your next visit. That alone makes you want to come back because nothing goes to waste. It’s such a thoughtful and customer-friendly touch that adds even more value to the experience. The variety of animals was impressive, from colorful fish and birds to reptiles and other unique creatures. Each exhibit had helpful information, and the staff was always nearby to answer questions. They were patient, knowledgeable, and especially great with kids, which really added to the overall experience. You could tell this place is truly family-friendly. Everyone there—from small kids to adults—looked genuinely happy and engaged. The energy was positive, and it felt like a place where memories are made. Catching it on a $10 sale honestly felt like a steal for everything we got to experience. Overall, the Houston Interactive Aquarium exceeded my expectations. It turned a cold day into a fun, interactive adventure filled with learning, laughter, and unforgettable moments. With the point system, friendly staff, and hands-on exhibits, it’s definitely a place worth visiting again and again. We’ll absolutely be back—and next time, I’m bringing more people with me 🐠🦜🦎

We had a great experience at the Interactive Aquarium and Animal Preserve! The staff truly made the visit special — everyone was friendly, patient, and knowledgeable, and they went out of their way to engage with both kids and adults. You can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do and care about making the experience fun and memorable. What stood out most was how interactive everything was. Being able to get up close with the animals, participate in feedings, and ask questions along the way made this feel more like an experience than just a walkthrough. The hands-on opportunities kept the kids excited the entire time and made learning feel natural and fun. Overall, it was an enjoyable, engaging visit with a welcoming staff that really brings the place to life. We’re glad we came and would definitely recommend it to families looking for an interactive animal experience. I went for my 35th birthday to channel my inner child and I wasn’t disappointed!

Best time ever! We didn’t know what to expect when we decided to check this place out during our recent trip to Houston but this exceeded all of our expectations. There were so many animals to interact with, they seemed well taken care of and all of the workers were so friendly and knowledgeable. You do have to pay additional for some of the interactions but they are much more affordably priced than you typically see and the unique options for interactions with animals like sloths, porcupines, a Komodo dragon, penguins etc is amazing. Our kids loved the entire experience and we will definitely visit again!
