Buffalo Bayou Kayak Tours

Josh, has been a superb guide for our canoeing experience in at the BAYOU kayaking experience. With a lovely touch in story telling of the Houston and Texan history as we went through the buildings’ landmarks. Highly recommended! We will come back.

We had an enjoyable sunset paddle with Josh. Watched bats take flight at dusk. After dark paddle with the light from high rise buildings glistening off the water. A wonderful time on the water in an urban landscape.

We had a great time. We have been to Houston so many times but never knew the bayou even existed. We did the night bat tour, Josh and Dillon were great tour guides. We loved all the nuggets of history Josh shared along the way. I would definitely recommend it!

We celebrated my wife’s birthday and had a great time renting a two seater kayak with back supports. Josh was very helpful, giving us some pointers and fun tidbits of history for near by sites to encounter. I was in the back and got my pants a little wet, just a heads up, jeans may linger with Bayou water. :) I wore jeans, flip flops, and a long sleeved shirt. We saw ducks, turtles, jumping fish, egrets, and of course enjoyed the Houston skyline. We turned back at 1.1 miles, for a 2.2 mile 1 hour trip. Maybe two hours next time? An hour felt good though.

We rounded up three families on Friday night and cruised the bayou with the kindest guides, Josh and Dillon. We had an absolute blast with them. It was such a unique Houston experience being on the water during sunset and dusk. We saw thousands of bats leaving the Waugh bridge, countless birds, and a few rabbits. The kids had a very memorable night winding down the bayou and listening and chatting about the history of the city and the landmarks we passed. We highly recommend booking a paddle trip with Josh and Dillon!
