This facility is fantastic and Kylie is a gem. I was in town for a few weeks and took private lessons with her to keep up with my riding. I learned so much! She’s friendly, attentive and engaged and has such a good eye- which helps her give great instructional cues. She will give you the right amount of challenge and help build your confidence and riding skills! The front office staff were professional and nice, and the indoor arena is huge. The online booking system is nice too. Really great place, highly recommend. I wish I could be here year round to take lessons here!

I've been riding in the foundation lesson program for the past 4 months and just recently graduated to private and group lessons. BAEC is a well-kept facility with a lot of talented equestrians and instructors. Their horses are very well taken care of and healthy. I've dabbled in horseback riding here and there for trail rides, but wanted to get more involved and start taking lessons at BAEC to eventually own my own horse. Upon taking my first lesson as an adult beginner this summer, I was completely intimidated to take lessons at an Arabian show barn! However, the instructors and friendly equestrians have put me at ease and made me feel welcome. I look forward to every lesson and can't wait to continue honing my riding skills as I take them to the next step. I am riding western but they have plenty of options to choose from. For my lessons, I've been taking all of them with Leo as he has been incredibly helpful in setting up my foundation skills. I specifically request Leo for his expertise as he is very patient, kind, and meticulous in his instructions. He provides real feedback, explains the "why we do this", doesn't cut corners, and has increased my confidence as a rider. I always walk away from my lesson with the next steps on what to improve for the next one because he is so clear on what I need to work on. It is clear that Leo has a real passion for horseback riding and improving his student's skills to be better riders. He is easy to work with and I'm glad I've found him at this barn. I will continue to take lessons with Leo and hope to do so for many more years to come!

I have been riding off and on all my life and was looking for a place in Houston to further my skills. I have been taking lessons here for the last 3 months and have benefited greatly from the knowledgable staff. The best part of the lesson is they cater to your needs and are truly interested in not only making you a better rider but making you a better horseman. The horses are great the covered arena is fantastic and the stalls are well maintained. If you are a seasoned rider or new I do not believe you will find a better place in Houston to take lessons.

I took my children to a camp here. They were both newbies and had a WONDERFUL time! I plan to bring them back for more camps (with Kylie, SHE’S THE BEST)!!!

Highly recommend. The staff at Bay Area take outstanding care of our horse above and beyond what is required. Our daughter has been working with the trainers for about 6 years and not only has she developed greatly in her riding, she has developed self-confidence by her trainers (Krista and Laurie) setting high, achievable goals with her and supporting her in reaching them through hard work and persistence. As a parent, the partnership we have with the Bay Area staff in helping develop our daughter into a strong, confident, and empathic young woman is invaluable. For the record, Helene (who oversees most if not all operations at the barn) is a saint. She always ensures transparency in every financial transaction. She has sat down with this tired working mom on many an evening and answered every financial or procedural question of mine with patience and forthcoming honesty. Such a gift! Overall, having a local riding school with staff who are professional and focused on developing riders both in and out of the arena and also treat our horse with respect, dignity, and care is a game changer for our family. #BAECLifer!
