Really good hospital and as well as the places associated with them @7900 Fannin. My nurse Carrie will forever be in my gratitude, her just alone made my experience great. I felt really seen and cared for. Even down to the lady who transported me, she was concerned about my wellbeing. As well as the techs who take vitals. The people who bring your food. The nurses when I went to mommy and me were absolutely gentle and in awe over baby. I feel like this hospital perfectly picks out the right staff and honestly everyone had such a huge impact on me whether it was big or small. If I were to deliver it would have to be this hospital only. Dr. Montanez is amazing, I couldn’t have asked for a better obgyn. I felt really safe in the care of her hands. We as mothers go through alot of stress and pain and this hospital made the experience a breeze.

I came in for a scheduled D&C after an 11week pregnancy loss, and I honestly can’t say enough about the care I received. From the moment I arrived, every single person from pre-op to post-op was kind, gentle, and so supportive. The nurses were heaven sent. Jodi, Katie, and Dee, the names I can remember, genuinely love what they do, and it shows in every action. They cared in a way that felt real and personal, not just like it was their job. They made a really difficult day feel a little lighter. During this hard time, I was trying my best to stay strong and positive for my family, and the staff at The Woman’s Hospital in Texas helped me do that. The social worker went above and beyond, giving me thoughtful resources, a comforting book, and keepsakes that I’ll treasure forever. Even though my heart is broken from our loss, it’s also full because of the love and care we were shown. I’m so grateful for such a compassionate, amazing team. Thank you!

For single moms this is an amazing place! But if you're the man in a relationship or married this place will act like you don't exist. My wife and I were waiting in line and a lady just ran up to the counter cutting in front of us. I said something to her and the security lady got mad at ME. When she seen me later on she said I shouldn't behave like that, especially towards a woman! WTH???? We been here for a week already and, outside of 2 nurses, the ones that come into the room don't even acknowledge me. I might as well be one of the terrible pieces of furniture they have for us to sleep on which is just a step up from the floor. No nurse outside of the 2 mentioned above never asked if I needed anything and when I asked for a blanket one nurse said okay and didn't even bother turning back up! Luckily we brought an extra blanket that I forgot we had! I go to the cafeteria and order some wings and sweet potato fries. The lady makes my food then when I go to grab it she said "that's not mine, it's a lady's food and that I ordered regular fries", I told her I didn't and what's the odds of this invisible lady ordering the exact same thing? Then I just sat back while my food got cold and waited for this "lady" to turn up. Finally the cafeteria lady raises her voice at me and says "I guess you can take it!" I swear!!!!! My wife had to have a c section and they put me in scrubs and in the waiting room so they can get her setup. 20 minutes go past then they come and get me, baby already born, robbing me of my opportunity to cut the umbilical cord. Only excuse was "the doctor was fast", what he hell does that even mean? I can't wait to get out of here and for our next child we certainly WILL NOT return to this place! Even if that means giving up our doctor who delivers here! This place is really oppressive towards men. Edit: All the nursery nurses are awesome along with Hailey in Labor and Kylie and Mavis in post partum. The rest gets a -1 from me. Just to reinforce my point a nurse just came in, seen me sitting next to OUR child then proceeds to ask my wife is this is HER first! Then tells her congratulations! 😅

I had fibroid surgery done here and stayed for five days. Overall, I had a really positive experience. Everyone I came into contact with was very kind and supportive, from the doctor, nurses, and techs, to the people who brought my food and helped with housekeeping. They were always checking on me and encouraging me. The staff is very diverse and genuinely empathetic. I felt listened to and taken seriously the entire time. One small thing I noticed is that it can sometimes get a little hectic around shift change (around 6–8 pm). One night, they weren’t as responsive, but that was just one out of the five nights I was there, and I could see that they had a lot going on. I would definitely go back. The level of care and empathy really stood out to me. When I decide to have kids, this will absolutely be a hospital I consider because of how well I was treated.

I had a stressful experience with the administrative process. Less than 24 hours before my surgery, I received a call from billing informing me that I owed a $4,900 copay or whatever. The surgery had been scheduled two months in advance, yet no one contacted me earlier to review costs or discuss payment options. Being notified this late felt unacceptable and created significant emotional distress right before a major procedure. During that call, the financial staff asked if I could pay the full amount or at least half of it within a very short timeframe. I felt pressured to quickly commit to an amount and worried about the risk of my surgery being cancelled if I was unable to pay. At my pre-op appointment, I was initially not properly scheduled, which resulted in me waiting for over an hour while staff worked to fit me in. However, one pre-op staff member was excellent and very supportive. She reassured me and helped ensure that I would be seen and properly checked in. Even though I do not recall her name, I was truly appreciative of her professionalism and effort. On the day of my surgery, the clinical experience was outstanding. Dr. Dunlop explained everything thoroughly and clearly, and the nurses were exceptional, compassionate, and attentive throughout my stay. I was especially grateful to receive a post-surgery phone call checking on how I was doing. That follow-up made me feel genuinely cared for. Because of the outstanding physician and nursing care, I am grateful for the clinical aspect of my visit, but the communication and coordination from billing and pre-op scheduling need meaningful improvement.
