This place is unmatched in Medicine for the kindness and care that they give each patient. I have never seen such caring people who do such a good job, in any medical field. And this is the place where you really need to see that. I would recommend this place wholeheartedly to anyone. I owe my life to them.

Dr. De Quevedo is certainly an expert in his field. I am pleased with my visit and I am confident that, by doing what he recommends that I do, I'll be fine.

UT Physicians Interventional Psychiatry department (specifically the Electro-Convulsive Therapy ‘ECT’ group) are all incredibly wonderful and have really helped my husband’s (Mickey’s) mental health quality of life. Dr. de Quevedo is excellent administering his ECT treatment and very easy to talk to. All of the ECT staff are very caring and treat Mickey with complete respect! In addition, Mickey’s nurse practitioner - Hanh Nguyen, is simply the best in helping him figure out and administer his mental health treatment plan. Mickey’s life would be much harder without Hanh’s assistance. She is so caring, quickly available and always willing to help. Thank you again to UT Physicians for all of their help with Mickey’s mental health!!!!! We would highly recommend them to anyone needing mental health help.

I have come to realize that it is not uncommon for patients to anticipate negative consequences from their healthcare providers after expressing a grievance. This unsettling awareness underscores the delicate balance between advocating for one’s own health and the potential fallout that may follow such a bold step.

We were at the end of our rope and my son came here to seek a second opinion for treatment resistant depression. It was a comprehensive process to collect medical records and psychiatric history--but well worth it. We felt very well heard during our appt with Dr de Quevedo and his team. Ultimately, we chose to have him go in patient for a while and receive ECT treatment. Throughout his treatment, the staff was always very professional, responsive and caring. Now months later, my son is happier than I've seen him in years and I am so grateful for the UTHealth Interventional Physchiatry group.
