The nurses and doctors who took care of Karson were absolutely amazing! They were so patient and friendly, walking us through every step and process. They even went above and beyond, rewarding Karson every time they did something for him. The ladies who did the X-rays and checked his vitals were wonderful too. Despite the long wait, the overall visit was great, and we were comfortable with snacks and warm blankets while we waited.

I am writing this review to formally address a deeply upsetting and unprofessional experience I had on 1/27/2026 @11:30pm we had with a charge nurse named Kiana Boric, who was serving as the night charge nurse on the 11th floor of the Legacy Tower, during my child’s hospital stay. I understand that nursing is a demanding profession and that hospital policies must be followed. However, compassion, communication, and bedside manner are essential—especially when a family has just been informed that their child is facing a medical emergency. At the time of this incident, we had just been told that my son needed to be taken for emergency scans due to significant swelling. We were trying to understand the underlying issue, which was later confirmed to be multiple blood clots throughout his upper body. My child was actively being prepared for emergency surgery, and emotions were understandably high. Kiana Boric approached my family and abruptly stated that there were “too many people in the room” and that one person had to leave. She told my family member that she did not care where they went, as long as they were no longer in the room. According to my son’s grandmother and others present, her tone was extremely rude, dismissive, and lacking empathy. At that time, I was not aware that she was the charge nurse, as she did not introduce herself or explain her role. Her demeanor came across as someone passing by rather than a leader responsible for managing patient care. When I asked to speak with the charge nurse again, I approached Kiana Boric and calmly explained the seriousness of the situation—that we had just learned my child had several blood clots, that he was being prepared for emergency surgery, and that we would not be remaining in the room since we planned to wait on the procedure floor. Her response was, “The rules are the rules. Only two people can be in the room,” delivered in a very rude and abrasive manner. I acknowledged her statement and turned around, at which point she said, “I was not done talking to you—you turned around while I was talking.” I told her I heard her and was not attempting to argue. She then pointed her finger at me and repeatedly said, “Do you hear me talking to you? One of you needs to leave now.” At no point did Kiana Boric show empathy, understanding, or basic human compassion. Her behavior was confrontational, intimidating, and completely lacking bedside manner—especially unacceptable in a pediatric emergency situation. Several individuals who witnessed this interaction later commented on how rude and unprofessional her behavior was. She then involved her supervisor, whom I believe was named Bola. I asked for Kiana Boric’s name so that this matter could be escalated appropriately. I was told her name could not be provided and that I would need to contact the patient advocacy department. I found this extremely concerning, especially since I was speaking directly to her supervisor regarding behavior that needed to be addressed. My son has been a patient at this hospital for an extended period and is well known throughout the facility. I have always followed hospital policies and am a strong advocate for my son because he is not vocal or mobile. This experience was unacceptable. Families experiencing medical emergencies deserve respect, clear communication, and compassion—not hostility and intimidation. I sincerely hope this matter is taken seriously and addressed so that no other family has to endure this type of treatment during such a critical moment. A very hurt and devastated mother R Fontenot, last I do want to recognize the dr’s that was on that week assured me that Ethan would be in the best of care also I want to recognize IR and the cath lab, an cardiology, an the anesthesiologist team you all are amazing can’t thank you enough.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Turner, Nurse Katie, and Angelica from guest services for their incredible support during our visit to the ER. They truly made what could have been a frightening experience much more manageable. Their warm welcome and caring demeanor helped my little one feel more at ease in this intimidating environment. I genuinely appreciate the thorough information provided and the expertise of the surgeons. I am so thankful for such a compassionate team. As we prepare for a small surgery soon, I feel reassured and hopeful, trusting that we will be fine with God's grace. Bless this amazing staff for all they do, and may they have a wonderful day ahead. Very clean environment

This place is Amazing! They take great pride in caring for my child, they listen and hear what he has to say as well us parents. As parents we are valued in being a part of the care plan. Also love how they communicate with other teams departments my child receives treatment from.

This place would’ve gotten zero stars if it wasn’t for the few wonderful nurses and doctors that we were seen by TCH EMS (we were transferred from TCH clinic) were trashy and rude Access to hot water to help warm our baby’s bottle was non existent anywhere. When we tried getting food for our baby, that itself was a struggle, with having to call numerous times, the calls dropping, and being told you can only get This and This and This but nothing else. Y’all are charging my BCBS insurance that I pay $400 a month for and not even use as much. I do not see how this is an issue We are parents (nurses) that are heavily involved and try to do as much possible to relieve the load of the staff. We ask for everything upfront so that staff doesn’t need to go back-and-forth with us. So if we can get simple things like hot water, milk, juices, snacks, etc we do it (like how in other amazing hospitals do) Also unlike other hospitals, you have to fight for dad and mom to get meals Staffing seems severely understaffed And you can tell by the attitudes and exhaustion I’ve been to other hospitals and their staff is much happier
