They have both good and bad. Overall though they treat orients very well. I have a little over a month worth the stays there. I have a YouTube channel where I’ve given a more in depth review trucking with ole snapper. Look for videos with cancer journey or Md Anderson in title. First the good. The nurses are awesome. In all my time there I’ve only had one issue with a nurse and it wasn’t that bad. Lexi on the 21st floor stands out as probably the best nurse I ever had there. The food is decent you order in an app what you want. I’m suprised there’s no Mexican food being it is Texas I enjoy what they have though and it’s normally cooked well. The facility is beautiful they will let you explore and if you are healthy enough you can go outside to get fresh air which in my opinion puts them above the rest of they ever took that away that would be a huge problem. Being stuck inside all the time is depressing. The iv team is outstanding and very knowledgeable which is great less pain lol. The rooms are comfortable and spacious with nice views to help you relax. They do everything they can to make you comfortable. The bad. Parking is very expensive I don’t know exact cost but for my daughter to park and stay the night was between 30 and 40 dollars.you will get a team of doctors and they don’t always communicate with each other. Every morning as they come in your room it’s very common that they all tell you something different. Also I wish they elected one team member to come in instead of waking you up 5 times lol. If you can afford it the level of care is awesome. I can not compare it to other Houston hospitals cause it’s the only one I have personal experience with. My step dad was at memorial Herman and he loved it. They treated him good. And according to online searches Houston Methodist is a top hospital. But I would recommend MD Anderson all day ever day. Like I said being able to go get fresh air really lifts the spirits and puts them above the rest. The food as well being able to order what you want. Like I said though it will cost you.

I’ve been going to MD Anderson since my first surgery in 2017 for jaw bone cancer. Five surgeries and almost 8 years later, I still feel like they are the best and have always taken great care of me. I highly recommend this excellent medical center! The photos show the relaxing fish tanks folks can enjoy. The also have a great variety of food in the cafeteria, or other locations, available microwaves, and purified water through the hospital and a baby grand piano in the Mays clinic and a top floor at the main building. There’s a nap room too.

I will never recommend this hospital to anyone. Horrible bedside manner. My husband was 34 yrs and died due to negligence. My husband was already weak. We asked so many times to help us with nutrition and help him gain weight. No one ever listen to us. Until he was in the emergency room and we talked to them again about our concerns. We were informed no one had wrote notes. Sadly my husband had lost so much weight. His cancer kept spreading and it went to his brain. They recommend radiation, we didn’t want to do it . We had said no. Doctor called us on the way home scared us and felt pressure. We went ahead and listened to the doctors. First mistake. He ended up in the emergency room after he had finished radiation due to his lung cancer. The whole time in the hospital he got worst. No one gave me no explanation and honestly I feel like they didn’t even know what was happening. Into it was too late.My husband went in a Saturday morning and left Thursday on hospice with only hrs to minutes to live. He left 3 small daughters. Wished they had respected our first decision and we had at least more time. You are treated like a number. Sadly cancer is spreading all over our country. No one is doing anything to stop it. Now is affecting so many young people. I lost my husband, my best friend.

Very experienced Doctors and Nursing staff. Staff very friendly and helpful. They have Volunteers willing to help navigate the center which was helpful. I see why it’s considered the best cancer center in the world. Traveling from Charlotte NC to receive the best treatment for my wife.
