Dr.stephen k Tyring was the worst doctor I have ever had, and so was his office and his staff. This doctor charged me $250 but didn't give me the prescription he was supposed to give me and now he wants another $250 to give me my prescription. This doctor and his office have no interest in the patient and are only after money. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM AND THIS OFFICE! By the way they never responded to phone calls The worst Dr office ever!

Terrible experience. This is my first time seeing Dr. Rana Mays and it will be my last. Cool and indifferent personality. I purposely made an appointment for a skin check and prescriptions as I always do when visiting the dermatologists I have never had a problem in the past with other providers. I found her exam to be rushed and not very thorough. I seriously question how she could have done an accurate evaluation. She also refused to provide any refills and I was told “ that’s another visit”. Obviously her time is more important than mine is, and I am responsible for her staff not including that in my appointment, even though I specifically addressed it when I made the appointment. At the front desk there is a sign saying only three problems can be addressed at each visit. I guess she didn’t read this. Staff were friendly and apologized. I imagine they get tired of apologizing for her. I left with that feeling of “ what just happened here?” One should not leave a providers office feeling as if you are insignificant. I will not be back. Do not waste YOUR time with this doctor.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Our long-time dermatologist moved to this practice 1 year ago and we have had nothing but problems since. Our original dermatologist left and the new dermatologist we saw sat on results for over a week without follow-up and kept sending our prescriptions to a mail order pharmacy despite our request to use our local Walgreens. Twice the clinic made an appointment with us, then didn't inform us that the doctor wasn't in the office that day. The practice was sold twice in the past year, changing EMR systems each time and necessitating a complete redo of all patient forms. Previous test results and records were not imported into the new EMR, meaning that we had to inform the treating physician of where in the treatment cycle we were. We are much happier after finding a new, well-run practice.

I left and transferred care to Kelsey Seybold. The many poor reviews here are consistent . I saw Dr. Rana Mays, and have heard same issues with Dr. Turning 1. I waited 20 to 40 minutes past appointment Start time to see the doctor Who will spend 1-5 minutes with you which contributes to patients feeling overwhelmed and rushed 2. I was Incorrectly charged ~$140 for a biopsy that should've been zero dollars. I suspect this would not have been refunded to me if I did not call my insurance myself and discover the mistake 3. delays and mistakes in refilling medication

Terrible experience. I have a fear of my hair thinning and I wanted to check it out, so I booked an appointment at HoustonSkin. BIG MISTAKE. The ladies at the desk were super nice, that’s all I can say that was good about the establishment. The assistant came in and asked questions and was more helpful than the “Doctor”(Steven K. Trying) himself. Spent more time with the assistant than the actual “Doctor”. Once the “Doctor” came in, he glanced at my hair for 5 seconds and then prescribed me medication I was not interested in taking. He simply just read my concern on the booking and prescribed me something I am not willing to take (it could cause irreversible issues and I am only 22). I then said how about you prescribe me this instead? And he prescribed it for me. I basically prescribed myself medication and he just signed off on it, very unprofessional and possibly a liability due to the less than 10 second “evaluation”. He then offered a procedure that is not covered by my insurance that I could not afford. I wasted a $35 co-pay for a “Doctor” (Steven K. Trying) to look at my head for 5 seconds and prescribe me a medication and didn’t ask me if I had any questions. He was very anxious to leave the room. He was in the room for a total of 2 minutes and a minute and a half of that was me explaining I didn’t want the first medication prescribed to me. If you actually need assistance for dermatology, go somewhere else this place is unprofessional and will simply take your money and dignity. I now feel even worse than before entering the facility as none of my questions were answered, only fed with nonsense and a sense that I am not cared for. Thank you HoustonSkin! I will not be coming here ever again and I suggest everyone else to avoid this place at all cost! You’re better off asking about your worries online!
