I absolutely love Zara’s Mediterranean Kitchen on Rayford Road. The chicken and steak shish kebab are my go-to every time. The chicken is incredibly flavorful and always cooked perfectly. I always start my meal with their hot mint tea with sugar cubes, which sets the tone right away. Zara’s special iced tea is also amazing, super refreshing and full of flavor. The decor and atmosphere are warm and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. Service is always friendly and prompt, and I also love that they are open until midnight. This place never disappoints and is easily one of my favorites in the area.

Ordered water to start and they provided complimentary house teas that had not been named yet, but were possibly going to be on the menu. Shayan did amazing with app, entree and dessert recommendations. Everything had great flavor, hitting the tastebuds perfectly. The pita bread was fabulous and spinach appetizer had the best crisp and flakiness to it!

I ordered the gyro and chicken shawarma with waffle fries delivered and was the most disappointed food i ever paid for. How can you send this kind of food to people? Only meat in a wrap that wasn’t even wrapped? No veggies whatsoever from. the description. But why would they put the veggies, lets give them only meat, let them pay 40 bucks for meat and bread. No waffle fries whatsoever either. Send some regular fries all mushy. But the shawarma…..why you guys do this to people? How do you consider this shawarma? Why you take people’s money and disrespect us like this?

Amazing atmosphere. Great service and good food. Only reason I gave 4 starts is because beef shawarma had touch more nutmeg. Otherwise, everything else was delicious.

**Avoid it at all costs.** I still don’t know if I ate food or not seasoned cardboard. Everything on the plate tasted like it had just been released from a long-term lease in the refrigerator. We asked for it to be reheated, but apparently they’re conserving gas. God forbid the food actually be served hot, or worse, flavorful. There was absolutely no aroma, no salt, no taste of any kind. Calling this “Mediterranean” is an insult to the entire Mediterranean region and several surrounding continents. I wouldn’t serve this to someone’s grandma unless I was looking to get written out of a will. I strongly suspect the owner has never eaten their own food and if they have, it explains a lot. One star, and that’s purely a charity donation to the server, who at least appeared to be trying.
