I ordered the Pineapple Express pizza from DoorDash and it was disgusting, I’ve never been more disappointed by a pizza honestly how do you mess up pizza?! Whoever made it DRENCHED it in sauce to where it’s barely even recognizable as a pizza. I tried soaking it up with a napkin but the sauce made the pizza so soggy and SALTY it’s inedible. The few slices I managed to choke down were pure starvation and I didn’t enjoy a single bite. So disappointing for late night eats when you come home from the bars and just want something good. Please do not do this to anyone else’s pizza unless they specifically ask for it!

Every time I order from Zalat Pizza, it’s just a home run. The price is great, the pizza is great—honestly, it’s the definition of bang for your buck. You can walk into just about any shop in Houston, but you’re not going to find better pizza at the end of the day. The staff is super friendly every single time I go in, which just makes the whole experience that much better.

I purchased the miniz 9” pepperoni pizza on a Friday night around 6:30 pm. 10-15 minute wait. Decent. Extremely thin slices, a very thin layer of cheese and sauce, and about 12 pepperoni slices spread out across the entire pie. Immediately compared it to a Chuck-E-Cheese kid’s cheese pizza with a few pepperoni slices on it. Not comparable to their marketing photo at all. FYI - only online purchases count towards rewards points. No purchases in-store count. Staff was not mean or rude.

I am extremely frustrated and disappointed by the experience I had today at this ZALAT location. I come here often because it is only four minutes from my home and I have never dealt with something like this before. I am writing this review in hopes that management checks the cameras and phone records to see exactly what happened. Today, Friday, January 2nd, I was hosting people at my apartment and planned ahead to order ZALAT. My get together started at 7:30 PM, so I called at 6:47 PM to place a pickup order. A female employee answered and told me to call back in two minutes because they were busy. I agreed politely and did exactly that. When I called back two minutes later, the phone was disconnected. I tried again five minutes later, and then again fifteen minutes later with no answer. At that point, it became very clear that my call was intentionally ignored, the phone was disconnected, or my number was blocked. Either way, I was completely dismissed after being told to call back. This was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. Because of this employee’s actions, I was left scrambling minutes before guests arrived and was forced to drive nineteen minutes to another ZALAT location just to get food, when this location is right by my home. Ignoring customers after telling them to call back shows a complete lack of accountability. This situation added unnecessary stress to an event I was hosting and could have been avoided if the employee had simply done her job or communicated honestly. Management needs to address this immediately.
