The drinks here were extremely disappointing. Before ordering, I specifically asked if the mango slushie was made with real mango, and I was assured that it was. When the drink arrived, it was nothing but artificial flavoring—just ice and powder. I eat mango almost every day, so I can easily tell the difference, and this was definitely not real fruit. To make matters worse, my wife ordered the smashed avocado, which tasted spoiled. Overall, the experience was unpleasant from start to finish.

Today I went to this place, it totally looks the same like Vietnamese street food. The matcha lattee was amazing!!, not too sweet and the Banh Trang Cuon and Ca Vien Chien was also great and delicious

I had no idea Viet Street was here for many years. So nice to catch up with friends after dinner. I love the avocado smoothie. So amazing.

I’m honestly confused by the way this place gets hyped on social media. It’s always “10/10, amazing, must-try” but when I actually went, it was a completely different story. I went yesterday. The broth was thick in a weird, muddy way, not rich, just heavy. The shrimp tasted like they’d been sitting in the pot way too long, overcooked and shriveled. Definitely not fresh. And let’s talk about the mushrooms. Enoki mushrooms are basically the soul of spicy noodles. The menu clearly shows enoki, but when my bowl came out, they replaced it with king oyster mushrooms. No heads up, no explanation. That alone says a lot. Honestly, most of the Viet Street staff seem to just trash Nhan Quan online to push some other disgusting spot instead, which makes you wonder about the “honesty” behind all that hype. LOL Meanwhile, Nhan Quan at My Hoa Food Market actually delivers, fresh shrimp, clean broth (not thick and gloopy), real enoki mushrooms, plus sausage and a bigger portion overall. Better quality, better value. Sometimes the loudest marketing doesn’t mean the best food. Just my honest take.

This store is one of my most favorite places. They have a variety of drink and food, which is incredibly delicious. I have always eaten summer rolls, and fried flour cake when visiting the store. Today, they have a collection of matcha drinks, I tried the matcha latte and I have to say that it was really good. I will try others matcha when I am back. Must visit place in Bellaire 👍
