Went to Verandah for dinner around 7pm. The restaurant was easy to find and looked very inviting from the outside. Once in, it didn’t disappoint- they have a fairly large space with plenty of comfortable seating. We were seated immediately and realized it wasn’t too busy. Apparently it was a relatively slow evening, which was great for us because we got excellent service and attention. The menu is interesting with a variety of traditional dishes and some unique ones. We got drinks (interesting cocktail menu!) and appetizers. The drinks were very good and the appetizers were excellent. For the main course we got a dal, sabzi and a variety of breads. All the dishes were excellent and we enjoyed our meal. I wouldn’t say it was exceptional or the best we have ever had, but I would definitely say it was very good and I would recommend it as a good Indian restaurant. Got a couple of desserts to finish up and we have a good evening! Strongly recommend this place if you are in the vicinity.

Came here for a nice night with the wife and decided to try a upscale Indian restaurant. This place delivered every time. My wife had a tasting menu while I went a little more traditional for myself (samosas, house curry, and a bread variety basket) the samosas were first class and well balanced and prepared while not overly fried. The house curry (tariwala) was fantastic. It was very smooth with a great amount of spice. My wife greatly enjoyed her tasting meal with paneer pinwheel, galouti, and baigan chaat and she had the best experience possible. In addition servers were very attentive. Would recommend to all!!

Verandah in Houston offers a unique dining experience blending traditional Indian flavors with American influences. The decor features elegant marble floors and wine bottle walls, creating a sophisticated ambiance. There are many signature dishes we liked. Service is somewhat slow, but the overall experience was enjoyable, making it a worthy destination for those seeking innovative Indian cuisine. The restaurant’s fusion approach and presentation elevate it beyond typical offerings, earning a solid recommendation for adventurous diners. Will definitely come again.

We had an amazing experience at Verandah this week end! It’s a beautifully modern restaurant with a warm ambience, stylish decor, and an overall positive atmosphere. The food exceeded expectations—from presentation and portion size to the authentic and delicious flavor. As vegetarians, we were delighted to find a wide variety of Indian dishes that truly captured traditional taste. The staff was courteous, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our visit. Highly recommend Verandah for anyone looking for a great Indian fine dining experience.

We booked in advance for a group of 16. Called ahead to make reservation. Day of, service was very slow. Non existent at times. Food took hours. Even after we checked to ensure kids get their food out first. Some food came out cold. For the price they charge I expect the food quality and portion to be better. The customer service was probably the worst service I’ve ever had. Drinks recommended by owner were terrible. Owner was defensive about everything. RESONSE TO OWNER: We never claimed to be investors/owners in anything. This is laughable. We were there trying to celebrate our grandma's birthday. This is my honest review and you can defend how you like, but don't put words into my mouth.
