Was craving bbq and ended up at Uncle’s for dinner. The restaurant is located at Kuykendahl and Dowdell in a gas station complex. We were welcomed on entry; the place was empty and clean - food and drinks are to be ordered at the cash register counter. Ordered Two Meat Plate (Brisket and Jalapeño Sausage, with Okra and Elote - street corn), Half Baked Potato (with Jalapeño Sausage, Elote, and Okra), and Birria Tacos (with Elote). Food arrived promptly and tasted fantastic! Tender, well-smoked Brisket, mildly spicy Sausage, crispy-soft Tacos with tender Pulled Pork, and flavorful Baked Potato with the usual toppings. Okra and Elote too were great, as were the spicy Salsa and BBQ Sauces. The only downside was the to-go plastic ware that served as our main cutlery and styrofoam drinks cups. A bit casual for a sit-down restaurant. The meal set us back $70, including tax and tip. Not cheap, especially given the bare bones service items, but the food was well worth it! We plan to return.

Great small BBQ joint! The foods always great, and I do love the fries and sausage. The only thing I would ask that gets changed, is that they stop putting the hot fries in styrofoam containers for takeout. This is because the hot fries melt the styrofoam, sometimes causing holes in the packaging, plus its not really safe. However, don't let that turn you away, especially if you're eating in the restaurant.

Amazing place for a good Texas BBQ. Staff were super friendly and very helpful with menu options. Very quiet place and peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Uncle’s Barbecue has a unique Mexican twist and is tucked next to a quick store along the roadside. My wife and I stopped by on a Saturday after reading some good reviews. We shared a single plate that included beef ribs and moist brisket, along with charro beans and coleslaw. The ribs were just okay—they did fall off the bone, but were a bit dry and had quite a bit of gristle. The brisket, on the other hand, was very moist and flavorful. The sides were decent, and it came with two warm flour tortillas. Overall, not bad, but not quite the standout we were hoping for.

The food was absolutely not edible. The ribs were old and cold and torn apart, old like its been sitting for hours under a light. Brisket 1 slice for half a lb, tasted old, wings old and not cleaned up. Called when i got home and they wont answer. This is an absolute nightmare for $56.00. The reviews must be fake snd paid for by those social media companies. **Update in response to owner: i called several times to resolve this, but no one answered the phone. 10 minutes after closing.
