The Roof Restaurant + Lounge

Had my birthday dinner here organized by my friends. This place is a vibe, though that night it was empty. I love the dim atmosphere, and the rooftop outdoors section. Will definitely come back when the weather gets warmer. You don't come here for the food, so don't hype yourself up for that. My lamb chops were just ok, paired with some bland broccoli and a mountain of mashed potatoes lol. The drinks though, are delicious and strong. Get you some cocktails. Thank you to the staff for making my night special.

-1 The absolute worst experience I have ever had with a restaurant. I’ve came to this location many times before however it’s been about two years since the last time I visited. We ordered the jambalaya stuffed wings along with the shrimp, grits and crab. This chicken tasted old and like they had just took it out of the freezer without letting it thaw before they cook it. It was so horribly disgusting. I gagged and literally had to run to the bathroom because I could not swallow the chicken. The grits were lumpy, and I was able to pull out clumps of grits. The crap was about the only thing that tasted halfway decent. The manager walked away stating she will call the owner and see what she could do. I explained to her I was not paying for any of that, as it was not appealing, and it did not get eaten only tasted at that point she threatened to call the police on me and I advised her to do so. I begged her to taste the chicken and she refused. On top of that the waiter was absolutely nasty during the entire exchange and I was supposed to pay a gratuity 🤨 I wish the hell I would. Either way RUNNNNN this place have sank to the depths of sheol

Went here with my coworkers and I must say this was very disappointing!!!! The food was so-so, the service....well we think the waiter was like 2 business days late each time. Why did it take so long to bring our drinks when we were the only group there? Seemed very all over the place. We were told different prices for meals. Different times for happy hour compared to what was advertised on the website. Just a mess. Cheesecake is usually an appealing dessert but not this one. And to top it off there was a small roach walking on the wall where we ate. Definitely not going back.

I’m sorry I never write reviews. My husband took me to this restaurant he did mention that the reviews were bad. I still want to go see for myself. We order two margaritas drinks light ice . Well I was okay with my margarita, but my husband drink had too much ice and told the waiter he asked for light ice. Okay so the waiter takes the drink back and brings its half way with no ice and laughs. We were speechless 😶 because the drink looked like the ice was just poured out. The waiter just laughed and then returned took our ordered but we just ordered an appetizer that’s all. The appetizer was good 😊. The waiter later came back and did bring a another margarita said this one the presentation is better. This is the worst experience it’s like they didn’t care. Also not even the manager came to apologize for the drink or the service. Any ways hope this review helps you if you want to come visit the rooftop 😞. They are lucky to receive a one star cus it won’t let you give them no stars 😂

This place is great for a quiet birthday dinner experience! The venue is awesome: large bar area, awesome views and dimly lit! The food was really good and the catering portion sizes were reasonable! I do suggest ladies to use the light on their cell phones in the restroom to be extra safe. The bar service was a little slower than expected for my party size, and we did have multiple requests for cake plates. The owner is very warm and accommodating, so overall, the service was good. Would definitely return for dinner with fewer guests.
