Super cool place. Super vibey. And great food, pretty massive portion sizes too. They had terminator 2 and aliens playing on the tvs and it really fit the sci-fi aesthetic as well. Love this place. Cool Houston gem.

The atmosphere and service was great. The food was good, but a little pricey. I got the lava bun and it was more dough than the filling. I wish they wouldn't charge you for every single sauce. They do give you soy sauce and this terrible "duck sauce", but I would rather have sweet and sour sauce to go with the egg rolls instead of that "duck sauce". Overall, cool place with great vibes to be at for almost Asian food.

One of the best impromptu dinner decisions we've made in a while. With all the futuristic decor and glowing 5 star reviews, my expectations were high and they absolutely delivered. The food was SO good. We placed an order using their app which is super easy to maneuver. It didn't take long for our order to be ready. We ordered the Sesame Chicken, House Fried Rice (26oz), and wings tossed in sweet and sour sauce. We also added some General Tso and Sweet Chili sauces on the side. Everything was packed with flavor and served in generous portions. It was perfect for two adults with leftovers to take home. RB (The Rice Box) has the vibe of a cool after-hours hangout with great food, a chill ambiance, and a place you'll want to visit again and again. Can't wait to visit again soon.

First Timer- The Ambiance, was very nice and spacious. The staff, was very nice and helpful and the service was pretty quick. The food, I wasn’t impressed. I ordered the rice noodles with shrimp, vegetable eggrolls and the hot & sour soup the noodles in my opinion needed more flavor/seasoning and the soup was luke warm and definitely needed more seasoning. And I was super excited when the cashier said “free refills” my excitement was short lived when I tasted my soda and it was flat, Nooooooo! But, again the staff I encountered was great!

I’ve been coming to The Rice Box on Montrose since its inception, and it’s been amazing to see how it’s grown over the years. Not only is the food consistently delicious and packed with flavor, but the whole vibe of the place keeps me coming back. The look is so freaking cool, modern, futuristic, and totally unique for Houston. It feels like more than just a restaurant; it’s an experience. I’m proud to say I make it a point to come here at least once a month, and it never disappoints.
