The restaurant is very small and not for large crowds. The restaurant is more appropriate for take out. The food was ok and service was lacking. The overall rating was good, but certainly not the best in the area. The people behind the counter were very loud and angry about something, but we could not understand. Our appetizer was served after our entrees, which was very unusual and defeated the purpose of the order. The ice tea was very bland and not worth the price. Order a glass of water instead.

This was our first time ordering from here because of the high ratings, but unfortunately it was a disappointing experience. The ordering process was frustrating—you have to download an app called Dine. While the app’s menu was better than the restaurant’s own website, it wasn’t actually taking online orders. We placed a pickup order, but there were still service and processing fees, which felt odd for takeout. When I arrived for pickup, the order wasn’t ready due to their system being down. They also didn’t provide condiments like soy sauce, which was surprising. We ordered the sesame & orange chicken, shrimp fried rice, and chicken stir fry noodles. The rice was undercooked, and the chicken dishes were dry. The stir fry noodles were the best item—flavorful and well made. Portions were average, but we also didn’t receive any fortune cookies. Overall, between the ordering hassle, extra fees, and inconsistent food quality, I wouldn’t order from here again. The photos illustrate $70 cost from food to fees and tip.

This is my go to Sichuan Restaurant. It is a hidden gem in Houston. We love thier Spicy Sichuan chicken and poached fish. I would give it 5 stars! It's such a great place to eat. Small place but totally worth it. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The cucumber salad brought my sibling to tears. This was hands-down the best Szechuan food I have ever had in my life. Everything was packed with flavor. The sauce that came alongside the steamed xiao long bao was TO DIE FOR. Delicious food that feels like home, with impeccable service. If you like aromatic, spicy, fresh pangs of flavor, or are looking for something to warm you from the inside out, Red Hot Chilli Burrow is the place for you. With love, a newly loyal customer!
