This is our date brunch or lunch spot hands down. Every time we come here we have the best service and experience. The food is delicious. I always get the famous fajita tacos. You can make reservations the same day. You walk in and get seated right away. Once, you are done you can walk across the street to the street market and enjoy a variety of vendors.

I live in NW Houston, but I wanted to try out this restaurant because it’s one of the iconic ones in Houston. It was PACKED on a regular Saturday at 9 pm when we arrived, so we’re glad we had made reservations. But there’s plenty of seating outdoors and indoor. Good food, large menu and wine selection, quick service, and friendly staff. We ordered margaritas, jalapeño rellenitos, mole chicken enchiladas, and fajitas. Everything was delicious. Our server Tina ( Argentina from Honduras) was so friendly and efficient. The ambience was a little loud for my preference, but it’s family friendly and there were a lot of birthday celebrations going on so it was ok.

I have come here multiple times and each time is amazing. From great services to great food and drinks. It is a little pricey but worth it in my option. My favorite are the fajitas and carnitas. A little hack is to come during happy hour which end at 6pm for their margaritas pitchers that are only $25 which steal compare to the regular price for a pitcher.

I went to Ninfa’s on a Friday night at around 7pm. The restaurant was packed, however the valet was fast, and the restaurant is quite large, allowing a more quiet experience in the back. As I was walking through the restaurant I noticed a lot of people had fajitas on their table, as this place invented sizzling fajitas! I tried the uptown margarita which was quite delicious, following by the quesoflameado which was melted cheese with chorizo, mushrooms, peppers, and green onion! So good topped with salsa verde. Then I had chicken enchiladas suizas! The flavor was deep, complex, and not too salty. The steak fajitas were so tender I should’ve omitted the enchiladas tbh. Definetly would return, the best Tex mex I’ve ever had. Clean, fast, and very good.

I’ve heard a lot about this place in Houston but it wasn’t up to the level I would expect for a top TexMex. Our server was ok but nothing special for Houston standards. Only came to take our order and bring the food then disappeared and had to be reminded of the beer we ordered. The food was fine and flavor was ok but nothing special. The portion for the medium fajitas was pretty small also. Ambience was ok. Nothing stood out for us really and I think I there are better options given this is more expensive than the norm in Houston. The place was packed and needed a reservation which was surprising. I think it’s just the name and the legacy of the place.
