Our first time here and everything was excellent. Our waiter Tommy had great suggestions for fish, most of which tried. We didn't get to meet Chef Andy, but he graciously offered us some of their really good sake on the house. A few of our favorites came off the Toyosu selection- blackthroat seaperch, channel rockfish, and the giant clam mantle with truffle. Drinks were well made, and dessert was so good, we decided to get two dishes to end our night. Overall, the staff made the experience amazing, would definitely recommend this place if you want high quality sushi.

Dined in at Soto for our two year anniversary and was welcomed with the warmest staff and amazing food. Our server, Alex, was the best! It was our first time trying Omakase and he was very patient and informative. Alex went above and beyond to make sure our time at Soto was unforgettable. He explained and presented each course perfectly. Chef Andy also stopped by our table and was the cherry on top to our entire experience. He really knows how to make you feel right at home inside of the restaurant. This will definitely be our favorite sushi spot moving forward, the quality cannot be beat!

One of the best sushi spots in Houston. Was told that the happy hour was amazing and it did not disappoint. Went on a Friday night and it was a very popular place to be. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced. They offer a regular and omakase experience as well that I hope to come and try next time. Great selection of cocktails and sake to try from. The chicken Kara-age was great, the chefs choice nigiri was awesome, and even had a little room to try the matcha tiramisu for dessert. My favorite item was the tuna with truffle. My least favorite was the eggplant maki. Still highly recommend a visit.

Came here for omakase on Valentine’s Day. The fish quality was impressive — fresh, clean flavors, and nicely executed cuts. The progression of courses felt well thought out, and the presentation added to the overall experience. The restaurant was understandably packed due to the holiday, so service timing was a bit slower than usual. However, the staff handled the crowd professionally, and the food quality remained consistent throughout. A great spot for special occasions. I’d love to return on a regular evening to enjoy a more relaxed pace.

Review for Soto Soto is one of the best dining spots in Houston. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, and the quality of the ingredients is unmatched. You can tell a lot of care goes into every dish. They also have the best happy hour in the city without sacrificing quality. The service is top notch—attentive, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!
