Every dish tasted like it was made with heart. The flavors were bold, balanced, and unapologetically authentic just like real Thai street food should be. From the perfectly seasoned noodles to the rich, comforting curries, nothing felt watered down or adjusted. Will definitely come back again!

Plenty of non-spicy as well as ultra spicy options at this“hole in the wall” for Thai food. Pro tip: put your name down if they are busy cause they use a sheet to keep track. Even the one out of five spice level is very very spicy by American standards. Seems very authentic and reminds me of spice levels in Thailand. My favorite was the Esarn Sausage appetizer, so delicious.

Street Food Thai Market Houston, TX Located in the heights in Houston is this Thai Market that serves Street food haha. It’s in the weird part of the heights where 20th turns into cavalcade and it gets real ethnic quickly hahah. Parking can be an issue here as there’s some right out front but then you’re on a real street. Walk in and it’s literally a Thai grocery store with some tables. (That bodes well I think to myself). Immediately get yelled at by a waiter? Manager? To sit myself and our waiter comes over. She was Hispanic lol and she took very good care of us. Esarn Sausage 8.7/10 - this is basically Thai boudin. This thing is insane man. It’s perfectly seasoned. Pair it with the ginger. Man this is a delight. Scalding hot tho. Buyer beware. Pork Dumplings 8/10 - good dumplings here! Got them boiled. Might be better fried but def get. Hiding Rice 8.4/10 - real shrimp! lol got some meaty pieces in there with some fried rice and pork. Covered with an egg. A delight. Got it spice level 3 which was fine for me BUT just an fyi to my non cultured folks out there. The Thai enjoy the spice lol Bae Thoughts: Red Curry with Beef - of course Bae got curry lmao. Said it had a really nice rich curry base. Veggies weren’t overcooked which she loved. Got the medium spice level and it wasn’t too bad, could have gone spicer. All in all this is the epitome of what I try to find in a food place. Shaky English, paper menus, cheap prices, great food. There aren’t any signs to take pictures at and it’s super casual. Alas, Arsenal may not have won the Carabao BUT they do sell Carabao Follow me on IG Eats_By_Puig

The food was amazing, by far the closest I’ve come to an authentic Thai experiences in Houston! Beware of the spice, if you are of low tolerance. Mild is not necessarily“white person mild” 😉 I will be back for more!

This is probably my favorite (and most authentic) Thai restaurant in the Houston area. Been looking for Khao Man Gai (Thai Hainanese Chicken over Rice) in Houston after trying it in other cities and finally found it here, and happy to say I really enjoyed it! Both the chicken and rice had good flavor, and the Thai spicy chili sauce complemented the dish well. Other things we tried that I enjoyed: Thai spicy wings and Pad Kaprow Moo Krob (pork belly). They have an extensive menu of Thai rice dishes and street food, many of them not commonly found in standard Thai restaurants so I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu. The service was quick and friendly, and they also have a small Southeast Asian grocery mart within the restaurant you can shop at before/after dining.
