I have used this location several times for both of my daughters birthdays! The most recent was the Disney princess cake for my daughters 6th birthday. They never disappoint and they always are honest with what they capable of doing. My kids LOVE their cakes! Thanks Small Cakes!

I’m reading some of these reviews and I get it not everyone has the same experience but all I have to say is I’m a happy customer! My recent visit I ordered a cake (with a week and half’s notice) sent picture got a call and shared what I envisioned! She hadn’t done this specific decoration before - it was something new! Haven’t seen no other place in the Houston area make it so yes I was impressed with the detail. I got two flavors and they tasted amazing! Got 3 different flavored cupcakes! All my quests loved them!

We purchase SmallCakes from our Longview location often. Katy, you guys need to step it up! You're way too light on the frosting (it should cover the entire top of the cupcake), there was barely any cream in the middle, and they were extremely dry. We took these to a family event and were terribly disappointed.

What happened to small cakes? It used to be that their Cupcakes actually looked like small cakes.But now they're just the same size as everyone else's.They still come in gigantic paper containers.But the cake no longer goes up to the top.It's about halfway down from the top of the paper. What a shame this place used to be so great.

Mrs Jay is the cake manager at this location. I consulted with her via email and phone to have a custom cake made for my son’s 15th birthday. I sent her pictures for the cake and she agreed to make the cake how it looks in the picture without any issues or concerns. She charged me $100 for a 9inch cake that would look just like in the picture. A simple “drip cake” with fondant basketballs on it. She did say that she would not be able to add the gold splatter that is on the cake. I said that was fine. I told her not to add the small gold candies on the top. She agreed to that. I informed her that I saw all of the beautifully made cakes posted on Facebook, so I placed my trust in Smallcakes Katy to exceed my expectations. I was sadly disappointed. I picked up the cake on my way to the party venue. It was nothing like what I ordered. But I had no other choice but to take the cake. I called to inform Mrs Jay, she was very rude, defensive, inconsiderate, uncaring, and unprofessional. She said that she approved the cake and that she did not see anything wrong with the cake. She was very proud of the cake. But she offered me 6 cupcakes worth $26 to compensate my frustration. My guest called the cake the Halloween nightmare version to the cake that I ordered. It was very embarrassing. Mrs Jay refused to refund me and she never apologized. She failed to admit that the whole cake was a joke. I will never order another custom cake from this location. I’ve order custom cakes from Smallcakes Longview and Shrevport and they went above and beyond my expectations. Mrs Jay I suggest you get some training in custom cakes and customer service before you lose your business.
