Shogun Japanese Grill & Sushi Bar

We always visit the Vintage park location but this time visited the 290 one. It was a week night so got seated right away. Service can definitely improve with hiring more attentive staff. Filet mignon turned out salty but otherwise food was decent. Bathroom stalls were very dirty and trash can was over flowing. The fact that it was a slow night, the manager / staff can atleast pay attention on keeping them clean. The chef that prepared our hibachi was very friendly and kept the kids on our table entertained.

We ordered off the menu, the rolls were super basic and small. Their prices are pretty high for subpar food. We only went because it was next to the movies but won't be back here again. If you want to pay $30 for like 5 pieces of sashimi, you might as well go to an all you can easily sushi restaurant instead. I make better rolls at home. Super disappointing. Also, the path to the bathroom.. the floors are super sticky and gross.

Bad experience with the chef. My husband is allergic to seafood and he scolded us for it. Any other hibachi I’ve experienced acknowledges the allergy and has no issues accommodating. The chef made us feel like we were problematic for an allergy. I’ve never been to a hibachi where shrimp is automatically brought out. My son later had a reaction due to the chef cross contaminating allllllll the food left on the grill. We still paid for the food but won’t be okay and don’t recommend

It was great minus the fact that we wasnt sure how many was coming by about 2 people so we had to wait for like 30 mins just to set down that was kinda interesting. But over all it was a good meal and they were all very polite. Thanks.

Unfortunately after being seated it was more than an hour wait just for apps. The waiter was nice and all, but the wait time for food is ridiculous!! In my opinion, it’s unacceptable.
