So this is NOT our first time here. It is our first time not sitting t the Hibachi Grill. I’ve ALWAYS love my food. Tastes AMAZING. Today though…it was a COMPLETE disaster. We sat at a booth ordered our food and waited. I have always loved the rice here I ordered double order so I can take home and eat for lunch tomorrow. The main course arrives and my food was completely COLD. I have never had such cold food. It was as if it was I. The fridge and they popped it in the microwave for maybe 10 sections. I was soo disappointed. My rice that I love so much was nothing like the garlic butter rice. I truly left her disappointed. They gave us a $10 gift card, charged us $18 dollars and we left sigh

If you are looking for a fantastic dining experience, Shogun restaurant is the place to be! My family and I always enjoy our meals here whether we choose the hibachi dining experience or regular table seating. The food is absolutely delicious, especially the sushi which is always fresh and flavorful. But the real standout for us is the hibachi - it is always cooked to perfection and never disappoints. One of the best things about Shogun is that it is reasonably priced which makes dining here a great value for what you get. Additionally, the staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and always makes us feel welcome. The atmosphere is fun and lively, making it perfect for a family night out or even a romantic date night. And let me tell you about the yum yum sauce - it is out of this world! If you are a fan of dipping sauces, you have got to try this. It pairs perfectly with rice, veggies, and chicken, and is definitely worth asking for. Overall, if you are looking for a restaurant that has it all - great food, friendly service, and a fun atmosphere - then Shogun is the place to be. Highly recommended! I joined a friend and her family for a small celebration 🎉! The restaurant was somewhat busy. It took some time to place our orders and get them cooked. I did not order the hibachi because I feel that too much butter is added during preparation of the dishes and the meats are always overcooked. Consequently, I ordered soft shell crab, could have used a bit more seasoning, soy bean and skewers of beef & shrimp 🍤🍤. The food is mediocre. Service was sort of slow. The waiters and cooks are very courteous and helpful.

Tonight was supposed to be a special evening for my family. My husband, our kids, my mom, and I went out to celebrate our anniversary at Shogun Steak House and Sushi in Rosenberg. We let the staff know it was a special occasion, and we were genuinely looking forward to making it a memorable night for our family. Unfortunately, what we experienced was far from celebratory. The hibachi chef gave us a rushed 5-minute presentation no tricks, no interaction, and clumpy, undercooked rushed rice. I initially assumed he may have been new and decided not to let it ruin our night. But just a few minutes later, we watched that same chef serve a family nearby with a full, enthusiastic show he was flipping utensils, tossing food, laughter, interaction… the complete hibachi experience we’ve come to expect. Although I peeped the difference immediatly it wasn’t until my 8-year-old turned to me and said, “Mommy, can I go sit with them?” that I knew I needed to speak up. I’m not someone who jumps to make things about race, but in this moment, it was hard not to. The only noticeable difference between our table and theirs… was the color of our skin. I spoke with the manager, who offered little more than a shrug and a half-hearted apology. We won’t be back. And I’m sharing this because experiences like this where families like mine are made to feel less than should NEVER be normalized or dismissed. Do better, Shogun. DO BETTER.
