Saltgrass Steak House

As our company travels all over north America for work we end up in convention centers everywhere.. not often do we find a good restaurant located at the convention center its self, so what a surprise Saltgrass Steak House was to experience. Our server Josh was amazing and friendly, his knowledge of the menu and the good recommendations he gave us were so awesome. That bourbon glazed bacon he recommended was the best bacon I have ever had. I would go back to this restaurant just for that alone. Everything else we had was also tasty, everyone on our team enjoyed it all and happily went back to work after our lunch. The ribs fall effortlessly away from the bone, the brisket burger was a hearty treat and the shrimp in the shrimp pasta dish were perfectly cooked. Our team can't pass up good complimentary bread either, we all end up fighting over it. Plus the bread dipped into the potato soup I had was delicious. Thanks for the great experience and friendly conversations Josh! He even went above and beyond when there was a mishap and our food got lost. We hope to make it back out to houston to do it again.. even if its just for the bacon.

This spot is AMAZING! I stopped by for a late lunch and left feeling very satisfied. Can’t recommend this place enough! For appetizer, I had the Fried Mushrooms. The portion was large and would be great to share. The batter was crispy and sauce paired well with it. It was delicious! For my main course, I got the 12oz Ribeye Steak smothered with mushrooms and onions with Brussel Sprouts on the side. Devoured it. It was so so good. The steak was cooked to perfection and the Brussel sprouts were a little crisp and tender. Also, the bread with butter that they serve was delicious too. It was a little sweet which I wasn’t expecting. My server was sweet as well. 10/10 would love to come back and try more of the menu!

The food was good seasoned well, drinks were okay. The potato soup had a different texture than i had before but wasn’t bad. They messed our order up and mixed up me and my bf steaks, undercooked mine and over cooked his so i guess in the end it worked out but the mistake shouldn’t have happened because they weren’t that busy.

Very good downtown steakhouse - I had a 12oz Pat’s Ribeye - absolutely delicious with a Caesar salad side. And a delicious glass of Pinot Noir. Food was delicious and quickly served. Got to give a mention to Mia who was a superb waitress.
