Food is ok but big portion. Some part of rice was undercooked and side of soup tastes weird to me. I was so excited to try the chicken rice during my vacation in Houston but I couldn't get 100% of experience because they messed up my order. I supposed to get one of the original sauce and one of ginger scallion sauce (purchased extra) but they gave me 2 of ginger scallion sauce. No chance for me to try the original way. sad face. I can say their chicken rice is still better than some places I have tried in different cities.

Had no clue Rooster and Rice & OhMyGogi! Joined forces. The guy at the front counter was awesome, person-able, knowledgeable on the menu, and helped us out greatly. From start to finish! I first had OhMyGogi! When they were just a taco truck driving around town and at local events like for HUG Tx2k. We absolution enjoyed everything we tried. The Korean BBQ Street Tacos were just full of flavor as a must try item! The sliders were our other favorite along with the quesadilla. And Rooster & Rice is just as delicious, highly suggest for first timer to try the “cutlet” the crust and crunchiness is the way to go. Chicken was juicy, tender, and full of flavor for something so simple. The only bad item worth noting is that seating inside is rather limited. (See pic) it’s VERY small, 4-5 seats at a bar counter top. So if you plan to sit down, you’ll have to sit outside to enjoy your hot meal. But don’t let that stop you. We enjoyed it so much, we already went back for more today w the family. (Have to update the review with more pictures and videos of our food selections) Definitely worth a stop and try out if your in the area. Until next time.

I really liked the food. Thai chicken looks bland, cause it kind of is. It is supposed to be a light, refreshing meal. This place was good. Big portions. Nice atmosphere. Friendly service. Only drawback is the markup on everything else. Almost $2 to add an extra 1oz cup of sauce! Almost $4 for a Mexican coke!

Rooster & Rice offers a simple, unadorned take on classic Hainanese chicken rice. While the concept is promising, the execution left something to be desired. The chicken, presumably their star ingredient, was unfortunately bland and lacked depth. The boiled preparation resulted in loose, underwhelming skin and meat that yearned for more flavor. The absence of spice on the chicken, rice, and cucumber further contributed to the overall lackluster experience. The accompanying Thai seasoning and chicken broth offered some respite, but ultimately couldn't salvage the dish. While some may appreciate the minimalist approach, those who prefer bolder flavors and crave a bit of heat may be disappointed. The $14 price tag for such a basic meal also felt steep. If you're seeking a simple, unseasoned chicken and rice dish, Rooster & Rice may suffice. However, for those who enjoy more robust flavors and spice, it might be best to explore other options.

Really good simple chicken and rice with some healthy options. Staff is very nice. I love ordering with a poached egg and extra sauces on the side. Can't wait for all the other businesses to open in the area.
