Red River BBQ & Grill

Our family has loved this place for years as our Sunday carry out. And we were thrilled at the addition of the loaded bottle caps a while back. However every week since they were introduced they’ve gone down hill. The portion is now half the size as before. The cheese has also been halved. But probably most disappointing is that the beef has gone from a small box to a literal tablespoon. Very disappointing.

I wanted to share my experience here today with this BBQ spot. I ordered 2 items thru UberEats with priority delivery today. The reason.... my elderly Dad had a hankering for some BBQ on the way back from Church. So made the order and thru the UE app and waited for delivery. Delivery was taking a bit longer but when did arrive, I was missing another ordered item. Called the driver and he said to call the restaurant. Called the restaurant and young lady named Melissa answered and I explained the issue and she started to explain the issue to another person then another young lady, named Carri, the Manager, jumped on the phone very quickly. I explained the issue and Carri was so sincerely apologetic as she still had the order there and said she will re make the order fresh and will have someone from the restaurant deliver it to me. Luckily I don't believe it was too far, about 4.1 miles but my address shows Richmond. She sounded that she might've gotten in trouble for the mess up but she owned it. I was very happy to hear that and she was such sweet person as she sounded like she was panicking as it sounded pretty busy there and sounded she was hit with a few things at the same time and she still was very helpful and stood on her word. Needless to say that I got the original order made fresh and delivered by Sara at the restaurant and have extra complimentary items and coupons that I was just wow'd and pleased by Carri and her whole team. I've never been to this restaurant but have passed by it a few times and always wondered how it was. My first time experience turned from not so great to an outstanding customer service from these group of ladies and wanted to give them a shout out online. The place has really great food and very big portions. I order the Brisket Cheese Fries and the Brisket Quesadillas. Totally worth it. Definitely snacks for later. Thank you Carri, and your Team, for the wonderful customer service! You made this first time customer into definitely returning customer! Cheers! And Folks, you won't be disappointed! 😊

Great burgers, decent fries, decent prices, and decent sized portions - but below average service. Atmosphere was fine with good music playing, and a few tv screens on the wall. No issues with this place other than the staff didn’t act like they cared they had customers! They couldn’t figure out how to apply rewards on the register, and never once asked how the food was, asked if we needed anything else, nor greeted us on the way in or thanked us on the way out. I don’t know if we will be back based on all of this. Good burger though…

You walk up to a counter and order.....just like all other BBQ places...the difference here is they come by your table and check on you....more than once....nice! My wife enjoyed a plain loaded baked tater, she's on a baked tater kick. I enjoyed a three meat plate with two sides. The moist end sliced brisket was really tender and tasty, the pork ribs were just as good and the jalapeno cheese sausage was very good. The pinto beans and and a half ear of corn hit the ever widening spot. We enjoyed a couple fountain drinks. The person that waited on us asked if we wanted a senior discount.....yes please! I had enough leftovers to have another excellent meal for dinner. The service was amazing.

Today was our first visit. We had the Brisket Spud & Chopped brisket sandwich. The brisket was flavorful and delicious but a bit dry. I do prefer a moist brisket but this was a bit too dry for my taste. Had to add plenty of their bbq sauce to compensate. However, I will say the spud was pretty big and loaded with lots of brisket. I got 2 meals out of it.
