This was the WORST experience of my life! I wish I could give -5 stars. To start, I ate the Turkey plate and got bad food poisoning! Vomited ALL NIGHT LONG, a couple hours after consuming this god-awful food! I eat everywhere and spend LOTS of money on food. I was excited to go and support a black-owned business, after repeatedly hearing it on the radio. After spending $50 on slop that I wouldn’t feed my dog, I was highly disappointed. EVERYTHING was tasteless. They advertise the dish pictured as Blackened Salmon Pasta with shrimp…it looked so disgusting that I didn’t even want to eat it. Some sort of salmon mush and corkscrew pasta garnished with frozen broccoli and carrots. The Turkey wings were boiled, the “salmon croquettes” were full of jack mackerel, literally no salmon. The greens tasted like water. They don’t have catfish, it’s SWAI. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! They need to SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY!

Mr. Pete and I ate there on August 16 and we both enjoyed shrimp, sausage, crawfish, okra, crab(I think) and rice and it was delicious. I also love that it was spicy. Great service.

The smothered chicken plate was delicious!!! Also bought gumbo, which unfortunately comes in one giant size, was terrible. There was literally NO flavor. It tasted like somebody watered down the roux and it was like having brown water. It needs to be available in a smaller container so I dont feel bad about throwing it away but its definitely going to the garbage. Peach cobbler very good as well.

It's a nice Grownup spot!! I relax, eat great food, nice drinks, and dance if I want too! The waitstaff is awesome. The bartender knows every drink. They have a nice size dance floor. Its cool to have parties and events. A chill🔥 spot.
