11/25/2025 Just picked up our takeout, and WOW—the flavor is still exactly the same! The consistency is absolutely incredible, good job! We'll definitely keep coming back and recommending this spot widely. It's truly a shame to see such a fantastic place with great food not getting the community support it deserves. Took my two daughters to Pho Guru today, formerly Pho Town 2. Ordered a large bowl of meatball, tendon, and flank pho, plus a side of bone marrow. Honestly, I haven’t had a decent bowl of pho since moving to the States, but this place nailed it. The broth was fantastic—I nearly drank it all. Big thanks to the chef for an amazing meal. Keep it consistent, because I’ll definitely be back!

Walked in not realizing it was under new owner/management. I asked my waitress if it was new owner due to different name on door and menu. She said no everything is the same just new name, food and cooks are the same. Ok. I ordered. Pork spring rolls and combo vermicelli bowl. Spring rolls were thin and minty but edible. The vermicelli bowl was horrible. Definitely not the same as PHO TOWN II, the pork was sliced super thin and over cooked, the chicken had zero taste and was rubbery, the shrimp and cucumbers were the only things I was able to eat as the sauce was way too sweet for my bowl. A different waitress came to ask how I liked the food and I told her it was bad. Unfortunately to be exact, Horrible was how I described it. She said she was going to tell the cooks but never came back. My waitress never came to check on me or to see if I needed anything, not even a drink refill. They were too busy on their phones in a booth. I was the only customer in the restaurant, come on do better especially under new owners. I will not be trying this place out again and will be looking for a new Vietnamese restaurant to enjoy.

Ordered beef stew w/bread . Don’t think I have ever seen wit noodles. Well I received with egg noodles . I let the server know and I was given bread . I was really hoping to be offered a redo . For this I had to write my thoughts . Service besides this was really good . Noodles absorbed all the soup and took up a lot of space . Usually beef stew is filled with carrots and stewed beef . Ended up paying $16 for something I didn’t enjoy but thought by expressing my concerns it would be corrected . Sadly wasn’t so here we are

I thought the pho was decent, okay? But other members of my party did not enjoy their food. Apparently the pho burrito was not good, but I could’ve said that without even ordering it. Anyway, give it a try. Not bad for the suburbs.

Apparently everything has changed. My regular orders of honey glazed pork spring rolls, pork vermicelli, beef brisket pho, fried egg rolls, and beef bahn mi have all change in flavors, portions, and presentation. Unfortunately, for my tastebuds, I prefer what Pho Town used to be and not what they have now. This now makes it the second time I have lost a great Vietnamese restaurant in the same area. RIP BISTRO AND PHO TOWN II.
