Helen S is our groomer and has been for a while. She has been grooming my dog, Ellie, a Lhasa Apso. She also grooms my mom's dog, Cookie, a Schnauzer who lives with us. Lastly, she has been our go to person for nail grinding for our Doberman, Tiffany. Last week I took Ellie, to get groomed with Helen. We needed to go short especially on her behind. I explained that she had her teeth cleaned the week prior and with the anesthesia and the stress of the procedure she was having issues with stress colitis. I mentioned that along with that, we had to put down her sister, Tiffany, a few days prior and all the stress was taking its toll. She was getting what we call "muddy butt" and I was having to constantly bathe her bottom. Helen was lovely as always and said since there wasn't another dog waiting she said she would take care of her and call me soon. In the meantime, I had to take my husband to a doctor's appointment. While I was there Helen called that Ellie was ready. I explained that I was at this doctor's visit and when it was completed I would run over to get Ellie. She said, okay well there is a bag here for you so when you come I won't be here but please ask for a bag. I didn't understand exactly what the bag was, but I agreed. I went to Petsmart to pick up my Ellie and I am handed a black gift bag. I didn't understand why but was told it was for me. I didn't look in it I just took my dog happy that she was back with me. When I got home I finally opened the bag. In it I found I lovely card with a gift card inside, a small pet toy, a candle, a nice coffee cup, and a cute little succulent plant--a real one! I couldn't believe it! I started crying. I immediately called Petsmart and asked if this was something that PetSmart did or if Helen did this for me. I was told that it was actually Helen. I can't explain what an incredible kindness it was for Helen to do something like that. Even now writing this it brings tears to my eyes that she cared enough to go above and beyond to do something so nice to acknowledge our beautiful Tiffany's passing. PetSmart and Helen will always have a place in our hearts because of this. Thank you Helen for being kind and all together amazing! Ellie loves her purple lamb.

Last time I take my dog to get groomed here. The cut in itself was fine. They did his back paws as you'll see in the pictures no issue as it isn't irritated, but the two front paws were very damaged and hes been licking them for two days because of it (you'll see below how irritated and even bloodied they got). When I go in to report this problem they give me severe attitude saying "why is that our problem? What you want us to do about it?" Obviously so kind of refund for the service but at least a damn apology "our bad" no not even that. Instead they blamed our dog for licking his paws. Be accountable when you make an error, apologize and just be better. Last time I take my dog for grooming here.

This review is for the grooming department specifically. This location has been my go to for getting my pup groomed, but the last couple of visits are making me second guess that. In the second to last visit, Amsi gave me a little bit of a hard time with accepting proof of vaccinations, even though I’ve always provided the same document before without an issue. She also shaved my dog’s nose without a warning. In all the years I’ve taken him to get groomed, no one has ever touched his nose! I’ve attached pictures for reference. I always provided reference photos in person so I was shocked. In the last visit, Amber was the groomer. I paid for his service online, but when I arrived two hours after I was called for pick up, I was told there was a fee for pet care?? I wasn’t informed that if you didn’t pick up your pet within an hour of him being ready, they’d add a fee. Fortunately, they waived it. But overall, I'm starting to get disappointed with the service and communication here…

This place had so many dead bettas. I was only shopping for bettas and snails so this post will only be limited to the fish section. I had no problem with the general fish, but i did have problem with the bettas. Half them were dead or on their last days. The ones i did get are in great shape atleast. They sold me a dead snail and a male betta when the label on the cup said “female”. The cashier had an attitude which is always pleasant. Overall, this was a classic Petsmart experience.
