Would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone in Houston or visiting the area! Atmosphere is great, the decor is beautiful and it feels like you’re transported to another place. The various sweets and drink options all looked amazing and made it hard to narrow down what to get. We received a warm welcome and the man who helped us gave recommendations and helped us pick stuff suited to our taste. The presentation of everything was beautiful and the service was great. Overall great place to go for coffee, a sweet treat, and friendly faces! Thank you for a great experience. I will be back for sure!

Taj is the kind of place that is so good that the review just writes itself. In all honesty, everything that I’ve had here, from the savory offerings to the sweet offerings, and even the Ethiopian coffee that I discovered that they roast themselves was perfectly realized, and absolutely delicious. This is the kind of place that if I had a list of temp places to take someone visiting Houston, well Taj is now on that list. It is that good. I want to let the photo speak for themselves, but I also want to say that you must try the spicy meat pastry that carries the name. Fatira . Wow! Those of you who know me know how seriously I take coffee, as it is my hobby. I chose an Ethiopian pour over today and it was superb.. So I could go on and on but I think I will stop here, and maybe do a later update about the regional dishes: Qishta, Knafeh, Maamoul, Basbousa, Namourah, Younanieh, Hareesh, Oush.

This place is pure joy! It’s welcoming. The food, drinks and sweets are absolutely delicious. The service is quick and so kind. Try the mint tea, the chocolate and pistachio oush bolbol, adani tea and the coconut babousa. You will not regret it! I used to live in the Middle East and have been wanting to pick my Arabic back up and practice. Muhammad allows me to practice with him when I come in with no shame. It’s like having a small piece of the Arab world back here in the states. As someone not of the Muslim faith, I never feel uncomfortable here and there is always a diverse mix of people present. They cater to everyone exceptionally. I can work here comfortably and love to come here for both long working sessions alone and quick chats with friends or family. I am bringing everyone I know for the quality of food and service alone. There is easy parking, vegetarian options and the prices for everything is extremely reasonable. Come visit soon!

Absolutely stunning cafe! I finally found a coffee shop that not only has an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere and environment but equally as great coffee. I tried the Tiramisu speciality ice coffee and it was delicious. Usually at other places latte’s taste watered down or too sweet, the coffee here has so much depth and richness to it. I’ve never had coffee this smooth before. We also tried some pastries, I like the coconut dessert and the little chocolate balls were delicious. Our first time having Turkish coffee, very nice staff here as well, I can tell this place is well loved and is a community staple. I’m happy I found it! I will be back for the coffee and to repurchase the chocolate dessert balls!

There are no words to describe the magic of this place. From the moment you walk in, you feel an incredible sense of peace. The décor is absolutely beautiful, and the seating is truly comfortable. When you step up to order, the kindness of the staff genuinely surprises you—their warmth, friendliness, and the way they speak to you instantly puts you at ease and prepares you for what’s coming next. I tried the Caramel Macchiato and the Dark Mocha, and both were an explosion of flavor. The texture is incredibly smooth and velvety, and as an extra touch, the latte art is simply exquisite. All of this might sound like an exaggeration, but I promise you it’s not. Do yourself a favor and give yourself the chance to experience it.
