Ocean Crawfish

I visited Ocean Crawfish on Beechnut twice within two days in January because I really wanted to give them a fair try. The crawfish were definitely live and fresh, which I appreciated. You can tell they take pride in having good quality seafood. The first time, I ordered the Medium Spice Ocean Signature. When I received my order, I noticed the receipt said mild, so I let them know it was supposed to be medium. A lady kindly took them to the back and said she was adding more spice. However, when I started eating them, they still didn’t taste medium spiced. The second visit, I asked for spicy, thinking maybe I just needed to go up a level. Unfortunately, they still weren’t spicy at all—honestly not even medium. The flavor was there, but the heat level just didn’t match what I requested either time. Overall, the crawfish were fresh, which is a big plus. I may just need to speak with someone directly next time to make sure my spice level is right because I really want that true medium or spicy kick.

Ocean Crawfish Seafood & Grill is one of the best spots in town if you’re craving seafood and snails. The flavors were on point — the oysters were fresh, the snails were really tasty, and the crawfish was cooked perfectly. They’ve got a nice variety of dishes, so there’s always something to try. Overall, great food, good vibes, and definitely a place I’d recommend to anyone looking for a solid seafood meal. Strongly recommend!

First time here with another couple! We drove by all the time but never went in. It was a Tuesday evening around 8 or 8:30 pm and it was pretty packed. Our friends ordered snails and other sea creatures for dinner. This is my first time eating this type of snails. It was not bad at all! The sauce really helped with the taste. I enjoyed the flavor. I also ordered my favorite flat rice noodle with beef. Can't go wrong with that. It was delicious! The atmosphere was good inside. People everywhere and the bus boys were working hard. Came for lunch. Food here is delish. Gumbo was really good. Almost all the dishes I tasted were really good. Only the fried catfish dish was not up to par. It was over fried and was not as meaty and fresh as I'd hoped. Not sure if it's a fluke or if it's a thing. The chicken wings are sooo good. It's going to be my go to dish. The service staff is very efficient. They quickly provide you with whatever is requested. The place can be quite busy sometimes and can be a long wait for table. Specially on weekends. Avoid the rush, go off hours or weekdays. It's worth a try.

Their recent $9/dish promo is a very good deal for first time customers to try out different food. I personally like the garlic calamari, oysters and quail so much. Their snail dishes are not as good as I expected. But overall it’s a nice dining experience.
