9:45 AM. I showed up because Google says this gym should be open… and it’s closed. Honestly, it’s frustrating because it’s not just the service or the condition of the place—it’s that they don’t even stick to their own hours. You pay for a membership, plan your morning, drive all the way here, and they waste your time like it doesn’t matter. And before anyone tries to blame the weather or a “storm warning”: there’s no snow here. Yeah, it’s a little chilly, but nothing extreme. I was recently in New York with heavy snow and gyms were still open. Even Costco is open today, but this gym isn’t. This is just disrespectful. You’re paying for a service and still losing days because of poor management. If they can’t even follow their own schedule, what are we paying for?

I have been a loyal La Fitness member for years, and I want to give you guys an honest review of this location. Before you get a membership. 1. This location’s management is awful. If you scroll down the review section, the owner only responds to “good reviews” because they don’t actually address the real problems this location has. 2. It takes on average 5-6 (if not longer) months to get simple machines fixed. For example, the basketball gym only has one rim since Q2 of this year, and it's now late December. 3. This gym can get disgustingly dirty at times. You can tell by the leftover sweat marks on the cardio machines and the lack of employees who clean the location. They expect YOU to wipe down the machine, which is fine, but other gyms usually cycle areas that employees clean daily. 4. There is no structure to the workflow of their employees (which stems from bad ownership and management) -Front desk employees get no formal training. 90% of the time, they are just on their phones, and at times, there could be 2-3 of them up there, just on their phones, instead of being productive and helping in other areas around the gym. - I honestly don't know what the cleaning crew does. There are times when I have to circle the entire gym to get sanitizer wipes, and they're all empty. There are times when they just put a spray bottle and paper towels out (because management didn't order wipes). I go to this location frequently at different times of day, and I have yet to see them clean any sections of the gym. Before you get a new “promotional” membership for 2026, please consider my review.

Here on vacation. Fair La fitness but could definitely go for some renovations. I’ll be back in here tomorrow. Gets the job done just fine

LA Fitness is a big chain, but at this location it’s obvious how far things have gone downhill. What’s worse is seeing how, because of the irresponsibility of the people they put in charge, instead of improving, everything just keeps getting worse. I came all the way here and IT WAS CLOSED with no prior notice, and on top of that Google still shows the place as “open.” That’s completely disrespectful—of your time, your money, and the trust you put in a place like this. And to make it even worse, basic courtesy and professionalism seem nonexistent here. This gym needs a lot of fixing—and not just the facility, but the people running it.

I’ve been going to LA Fitness for a while now, and overall it’s a great spot to stay active. The equipment is well-maintained, and there’s a wide variety of machines and free weights. I especially appreciate the group classes—they keep me motivated and add fun to my routine. If you’re looking for a full-service gym with flexible hours and a good vibe, LA Fitness is a solid choice. Thanks Rick
