I can’t give 1 star across the board because I do have fond memories of this place when I was in my 20s. I went recently at 33 and maybe because I went sober and alone, it didn’t have as a great of an experience as I’m remember. Bar staff started off pretty rude, bluntly explaining that there were only two types of ramen available on Mondays and they were not fully stocked with the ingredients for their cocktail menu. Overall, really disappointing this time around. If I had any questions about why they were closing, they’ve been answered.

Went in for one last visit before they close and glad that I did. This place has been a staple in Houston for late night ramen and Japanese whiskey for many years. The menu is simple, only 3 different ramen variations(even a broth less one), but expertly crafted and the service is great. Friendly, warm, inviting, and fun. The building is unassuming on the outside, but gives a cool street dojo feel on the inside. The owner is super involved with everything, but is sure to stop by to say hello and make you feel welcomed. It's a fun, quirky, and unique place. It'll be missed, so get over there and experience it for yourself before time runs out.

Good for a drunk late night stop, wouldn't be my first choice for during the day when you have real options. Doesn't have a real tonkotsu richness to it. Pork belly is chopped up and way overcooked. Egg was great however. Menu is adorable, very punny, and our bartender was really nice. Would be a nice place to hang out for a drink probably.

I was enticed to visit with my daughter this evening when I heard the bar was filled with snow, and I'm glad I did! Our server was so attentive and sweet even though she was clearly busy. The seared chasu chunks and marinated bamboo were unique and tasty features in the ramen. The atmosphere was cozy and festive. Thanks for the memory, Ninja Ramen!

I have loved Ninja for so many years, it is so sad it is closing. I love ramen and this is truly the most flavorful I’ve tried! The vibes are so fun too! I’m not big on alcohol but the couple drinks I’ve tried were good! I hope they open another spot for ramen someday! It will be such a loss to my tastebuds 😭
