My husband took me to the popcorn bar today after lunch because I love popcorn. First time here and it was empty but the man behind the counter was friendly and even let us taste a sample of the Houston Mix. I'm so mad at myself for not tasting the extra butter and texas heat mixture that I purchased before I left, because I would have ordered a large tin!!! Its sooooo good. I will definitely be back. Update: Came back today and there was a woman at the counter. I asked for a large bag of Texas Heat and Extra Butter mixture. She handed me the bag and I left. Once driving home I tasted it and it did not taste the same. It didnt even look the same. I looked at my receipt and I was charged the Texas Heat and Extra Cheese. Highly disappointed especially after spending $28. I don't live close so driving into Houston is a special treat.

So excited to share our experience and the joy of finding this little hidden gem! What an unexpected surprise today and for anyone who loves popcorn as much as I do…you will not be disappointed! We were in the shopping strip at the Verizon store nearby and saw the sign for “The Popcorn Bar” so after getting our cellphone business situated we decided to check out this little snack shop. Wow! The flavors are endless and I legit wanted to try one of every kind. They have several different sizes and since I had such a hard time narrowing it down…we opted to start with the mini size which turned out perfect for sampling but with plenty left over for 2. The customer service was exceptional and Lorenzo, I don’t know if he’s the owner, manager, or an employee…but he offered us a superb experience. He gave excellent suggestions and tips while explaining the menu, flavor combinations, sizes, and even offered up samples. Given how eager we were to try each flavor we’ve decided to start at the beginning and ordered 5 flavors today and are looking forward to regular trips to knock out more flavors as often as possible. The shop offers popcorn bags, tins, and gift boxes as well as candy and even a membership with discounts and promos. We started our flavor journey with Banana/ Banana Pudding/ Cinnamon Toast Crunch/ Toffee Almond/ Loaded Baked Potato and ALL OF THEM ARE DELICIOUS! The candied flavors are not too hard and gummy in the teeth but offer just the right amount of sweetness and coating. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch variety is a mouthful of fun just like your favorite childhood cereal somehow managing to capture cinnamon and a toasty flavor. The Banana is light and airy and the Banana Pudding is decadent with actual cookies and white chocolate mixed in. Toffee Almond is just the right mix of toffee with real almonds. As for the Loaded Baked Potato…it’s 5star in itself. It’s light and airy but rich and the flavors pop. Cheesy and spicy with real green onion mixed in. We sat in the car and sampled each flavor before pulling away and our taste buds were in full swing trying to decide on a favorite. Thank you Lorenzo for the wonderful service. We’re definitely going to be seeing you soon to fill our popcorn cravings.

Popcorn of so many flavors — and yes, they can make it! The popcorn was absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to go back and get more. Definitely a must-try if you’re in the Houston area. And yes, I believe they even ship!

Came here to try out their popcorn, since the review are good. Order the jalapeno cheddar, ranch and white cheddar.the jalapeno cheddar is spicy and the ranch was just ok. However the white cheddar tasted like regular butter popcorn. The gentlemen working there did say he was out and had to go make some. Maybe he got lazy and just threw in some regular butter popcorn. Either way, For the price they charge for popcorn you expect better quality. Won't be coming back here!!

I bought $150 worth of butter and kettle popcorn for a concession stand and sold most of it. It was good but the butter flavor did get a little chewy. The reason for the one star is because I am now back the next day to buy more. I’ve been sitting outside the store since 10:05. It’s now 10:45. They are supposed to open at 10. Today is Saturday. No one is here and no one is answering the phone. Another customer who pulled up next to me said they have a preorder they’re supposed to be picking up at 10:30. I’m headed to Gordon Food Service to buy the popcorn and will not be back here. Update: Gordon sells an even larger bag of butter flavor for only $15 instead of $60. They make it in house and it tastes better.
