Montrose Chinese Restaurant

My first trip inside this restaurant - there was a strong sewage smell that hit me at the door. My Gen Tso was on the very bland side, some vinegar and pepper would help - the h & s soup definitely needs vinegar. The rib was good and the fried foods were nice and crispy. I'll come back but please do something about your sewer line issue - that can't be hidden from customers and no one wants to smell that while they're getting their food.

This was a big disappointment. I ordered Moo Shu Pork and an appetizer sampler. The appetizers were fried in some type of oil that was unpleasant which ruined the dish. The Moo Shu Pork had large chunks of mushroom and meat. That doesn’t work real well with the pancakes, which were the only part of the meal that was acceptable. The meat in the Moo Shu was overcooked terribly! I will not be back!

Thank you to the nice man that delivered tonight to me in the Heights.(01/10/2026 Sat night) Kinda hard to find the (abcd) address, I totally understand that... The food is bomb.

Just a basic take-out joint serving bland, gluggy American-style Chinese food. The cuisine is as creative and interesting as the restaurant’s name. I ordered family-style tofu, shrimp with vegetables and stir-fried green beans. Everything seemed fresh, but there was little effort to season the dishes. The rice was over cooked and stuck together in big clumps. The man at the counter was gruff and unwelcoming. My take-out order was ready in 15 minutes as promised. I would only go back to this place if I couldn’t be bothered looking for something better.

As pictured, I ordered eggplant in garlic sauce with steamed rice, and bbq ribs. The rice didn’t make it to my bag.. I called and met them know that I didn’t get the rice. He told me there was nothing he could do. This is not the first time they have been utterly rude when you enter the restaurant I will not order here again.
