A Hidden Gem That Proves Why It’s One of the Top 3 Best Chinese Restaurants in Houston Flavor House (味来人家) has been around for three years, and honestly, it has become my go-to whenever I crave traditional, authentic Chinese food. But recently, they leveled up with a brand-new seafood series that feels like a “Crawfish World” collided with Chinese flavors — and let me tell you, it’s something you simply cannot miss. Instead of crawfish season, imagine feasting on fatty blue crab, jumbo Gulf shrimp, marinated cucumber, golden potatoes, and savory sausage — all drenched in their signature garlic sauce. Whoever came up with this combination is a genius. That cucumber soaks in the garlic flavor perfectly, and when you add the potatoes and sausage, every bite is addictive. I ordered the entire seafood platter in different flavors, and it was so good I’ve already gone back multiple times. But here’s the real kicker: once you finish the platter, don’t stop. Toss some noodles straight into the leftover garlic sauce, and suddenly you’ve unlocked a whole new universe of flavor. Honestly, it might be the best bite in Houston. And the classics? Still unbeatable. • Triple Fried Chicken: crispy outside, juicy and tender inside — never greasy, always satisfying. • Deep-Fried Pork Ribs: my first time trying this and I was blown away. How did no one tell me this dish was hiding here all along? It’s crunchy, flavorful, and ridiculously good. So whether you’re a fan of crawfish boils with the whole shebang, or you’re ready to challenge yourself with some of the best traditional Chinese food in Houston, Flavor House is where you need to be. This place is not just a meal — it’s an experience that keeps pulling you back. Went to the soft grand opening, and it was ok. The noodles/food is a bit different but fresh. The broth was very plain, almost water-like. They still needed some tweeking on service because the servers don't really explain what the dishes are. We tried the sampler noodles, which had 5 different flavored noodles in small servings, and the braised beef noodles. The curry rice looked good, but I will try that another time. Overall, it was ok.

First time here, personally not really like it, but my kids love it so much. I ordered beef brisket rice noodles, it came the soup on the side, I was little bit confused, I thought it was noodle soup but it was dry noodle and soup on the side. Tastes better after I added some chili oil and salt. I gave 3 star on that dish. Then I ordered some to go for my kids and husband. They like A5, A6 and G1. My husband really likes the G1 BTW.

The vegan and nonvegan options are all really good and not greasy! Honestly really good for drinking or just late night sinner. Went there half an hour before closing, the service is nice, music is really on point. Def will go back soon!

Discovered this place when I had a sudden craving for noodles. Interior is clean and simple. Not a big restaurant but there are sufficient seatings for big and small groups. I had the family reunion dish which was akin to a tasting sample of their five signature dry mix noodles. The clear broth served with the noodles was slightly bland. The meat given in all five bowls were two pieces each, and the noodles were just a small palm size in each bowl. It was a great portion for those who would like to try a variety of their noodles but didn’t have the stomach to eat five big bowls. The sauces weren’t too salty but they did taste almost the same in all bowls. The meats weren’t seasoned by the way. Roasted peanuts and short pickled long beans were in each bowl too. I received great service today. The lady at the counter had a big smile all the time.
