Neighborhood gem with a nautical theme that offers authentic Maine eats in the bustling Sawyer yards. We always wanted to try this place and finally stopped by. The owner/chef of the restaurant is very friendly and knowledgeable about what he does. He had a good conversation with us about what’s special about Maine sandwiches and Whoopi pies while taking our order. We had original lobster roll, lobster bisque, Maine sub, clam chowder, and of course Whoopi pies. All of them were delicious, especially clam chowder and lobster roll. The restaurant is clean and customer service is flawless. Highly recommend! We will come back.

Awesome cafe with seafood (lobster signature) dishes. Can recommend the lobster roll and the crab roll! Cool interior design and details. Also love the art district area/vibe.

Never again. I basically paid for extra toast with lobster bits. I got the hot lobster roll and there was barely any lobster in the sandwich. It tasted okay, but I was not impressed. The place was empty, but when I went to sit down, the table was dirty with food and crumbs on it. I would not recommend this place. The portions are not worth the price.

I’m saying all this because I don’t want this place to be shut down in 3 months. Take a look at these photos, does that look like $56 dollars to you? I know it’s lobster but being from the northeast I’ve had my fair share of lobster rolls and this is just sad. Anytime you sell a good or service you should think to yourself would I be happy paying X for this? This is my second time here, food both times was disappointing. The first time I waited 25 minutes for my sandwich and there were no orders ahead of mine….and the staff didn’t even address the people behind me so after 15 minutes they left. Gotta make some changes quick.

I ordered the Texas Heat lobster roll. It was okay tasting for a lobster roll from frozen lobster. My biggest complaint is the amount for the price. The roll was $17.00, but so small I had to order a second. Overall disappointing experience to say the least.
