I had another great experience at Lupe Tortilla, and once again it absolutely delivered. This was the second location I’ve visited, and what really stands out is the consistency. The quality, flavor, and overall experience were just as good as the first time, which says a lot for a restaurant with multiple locations. The food was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. Everything tasted like it was made to order, with attention to detail that you don’t always get at larger, well-known restaurants. From the first bite to the last, the meal was satisfying and well balanced, without feeling heavy or overdone. You can tell they care about maintaining the same standards across locations, which builds a lot of trust as a customer. Service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere made it an easy place to relax and enjoy the meal. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning to a different location, you know what you’re going to get—and that consistency is outstanding. If you’re looking for fresh, delicious Tex-Mex with reliable quality and great taste, Lupe Tortilla is a solid choice every time. Highly recommended.

This location has always been a hit with so many over the years. The staff are always friendly, the service is right on and the food has always been fantastic. This place is great for all seasons as there is a patio area in the front, complete with a gas-fired fire pit and cozy chairs. There is also outside patio area that is adjacent to N. Shepherd, that has evaporative fans to cool the air and umbrella shaded seating. There is also an all seasons covered patio area for additional seating away from the bar area, perfect for parties and large gatherings.

When Lupe opened & for a number of years after it was 5 stars all the way. Over the last few years they seem to be short staffed & the food is still very good but not class leading as it once was. I'd still send out of state visitors here for good TexMex. They've found a way to have a vent blowing on every seat in the main dining area. If you don't like that the back dining room or the patio is better. On this visit they brought us some guac that was turning brown. Guac isn't my thing so I didn't care but my wife wasn't thrilled & the server was so busy he never checked back with us so we could get it replaced in a timely manner. He's a good server but simply had too many tables. We'll be back as this is a minor malfunction.

WORST TO-GO EXPERIENCE. I ordered for a future pickup time of 6:15pm at 5:00pm. Arrived in a pickup spot at 6:25pm and used their requested system of texting name and spot number. At least 3 times people came out asking for my name on the order and acting bewildered at my name as if they didn’t have anything with my name on it. At some point someone who seemed like the manager came out and promised they were bagging it up (this was around 20 mins of waiting). Finally another 25 mins passed and I went inside. My order was just sitting there and the waitress handed it to me. Luckily I looked inside because half of my order was missing. I get home and the tortillas with my order also were missing AND the food was cold! Absolutely TERRIBLE experience. No do order to go from here!

For my first night in Houston I was taken here and it was lovely. I had a great time. The staff was very nice and the food was very comforting. It's no fine dining but it made me happy. The cheese sauce was everything you want it to be and the steak in the fajitas was so tender.
