Got the gai lan, salt and pepper short ribs, and the mapo tofu. The gailan was good. The ribs were a bit too hard and chewy for me. The mapo tofu was not spicy and didn't have the Sichuan kick or look I was expecting. We came in around 4, and the staff were eating and ignored us until we asked if they were open

This is a typical Chinese family restaurant, not your Americanized Chinese food. The restaurant is on the smaller side with less than ten tables. My friends and I went pretty late after typical dinner hours. When we arrived, only one table was occupied. My friend let me ordered the food. The portion was decent and my friends praised about the tastiness of the food. As for me, it was decent. If you want to try some authentic Chinese food, check it out. If you want Americanized Chinese food, this is not your place.

They must have a new chef because the food is so good! This is probably my favorite family style dining on Bellaire now. The lunch portions and pricing is fantastic. I've came here for dinner as well. Get the honey sauce with beef short ribs and the lobster. Restrooms are clean as well and the place doesn't have a weird smell.

Always on the hunt for the best chinese restauarant in Houston. We didn't want to miss out on the Lucky Dragon. Although our server did not speak English, we were able to identify some tasty dishes. We ordered the Honey Sauce Shrot Ribs and the Sizzling Beef. Both of these dishes were fantastic and highly recommended. Portions were decent size but you will definitely want to order one dish per person at the table. They brought out a good initial portion of rice and refilled it when needed. Enjoyed the authentic homestyle experience. P.s.- They brought out forks but they were kind enough to bring chopsticks upon request.

Today, I met up with a few friends to eat at a restaurant for the first time because a friend recommended their lobster. We ordered two lobsters and a total of five dishes. While waiting for our food, the place was fully packed . A group of customers came in and asked the lady boss how long the wait would be, and she snapped impatiently, “Can’t you see we’re clearing tables? If you don’t want to wait, go eat somewhere else.” After eating for about 20 minutes, we asked the waiter why the crab was taking so long. The lady boss said we r making right now(must have forgotten ). While waiting, we told the waitress that the two lobsters didn’t have much meat. The lady boss stormed out, aggressively grabbed our lobster shells, and pieced them together to show us, saying that the lobster only has 2 pieces of meat in the middle. She even pointed to the table next to us, saying those customers had been coming for decades and never complained. After that, we lost interest in eating the crab, quickly paid the bill, and left. Overall the food is not bad. but the service attitude of the boss lady is NOT GOOD AT ALL
