Dined in with my family of five after hearing good things about this place, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. • The spring rolls were overcooked and did not have any vegetables inside. * Regarding the Chicken broccoli dish, we asked the server if it was possible to substitute Lo Mein noodles instead of rice. She told us she would check first and let us know, but unfortunately she never came back to confirm whether it was approved or if there would be an extra charge. We later found out on the bill that there was an additional charge, which would have been helpful to know beforehand. • I politely asked if it was possible for my child to have rice noodles with beef not as a soup (we know them as silver noodles), similar to a lo mein style but with rice noodles instead. The server wrote the order down but did not confirm whether it was possible or clarify the request. When the food arrived, the special order came out as regular pho with rice instead. I let the server know we did not order rice and again explained that we asked for rice noodles, not soup/Pho. She quickly took the plate back to the kitchen, and we overheard her telling the cooks that we “didn’t want rice.” The chef made an audible sound of frustration, which made me feel uncomfortable, as it was never my intention to cause trouble or have the dish remade for my 9-year-old. On the second attempt, the dish came back as soup again, and the plate was dropped off without explanation before the server walked away. We were never offered drink refills during this time. Another staff member did stop by to check on us, at which point we asked for to-go boxes and decided we were ready to pay and leave. While paying, I calmly mentioned that the order had been incorrect twice, sharing it more as feedback for future reference — encouraging staff to fully listen and confirm orders rather than quickly responding with “there’s no problem.” Unfortunately, I was repeatedly told “there’s no problem” without acknowledgment of the concern as I explained what had happened. I truly respect young adults who are learning and working, but the overall interaction felt dismissive. As we were leaving, the table was cleaned while staff looked out the window toward us and laughed, which felt disrespectful. I’ve included a photo of the rice noodles with beef — we removed the broth since my daughter did not ask for soup. I hope this feedback is taken as a learning opportunity to improve communication and customer experience in the future.

The food is authentic Vietnamese cuisine (NO CHANGES to original menu item recipes), has fresh ingredients and is affordable with generous portions- whether you dine in or take out. I get two generous meals out of one bowl of pho. There’s even new menu items like street tacos and Micheladas- like the REAL DEAL deal (I’m Hispanic and I’m very picky). Great customer service y se habla español. I’ve come here for many years and I was told ownership changed 2 years back, however the recipes are exactly the same (original owners stayed on a while to teach the recipes). I can assure you this is true. Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic drinks available (smoothies, Vietnamese coffee, Fresh Coconut juice, Thai Tea, Freshly squeezed lemonade and more). I highly recommend ordering your food using the number next to your meal. Enjoy! 😊

I had car trouble and ended up stopping right in front of this place during a very stressful period in my life. I was already overwhelmed, and this situation only made it worse. The owner, Serhio, came outside to see what was going on and to ask if I needed help. But he didn’t stop there he invited me into his place, offered me a drink, and gave me a moment to breathe and calm down. This may not be a typical review about food or service, but to me it means much more than that. It speaks about the kind of person he is and the size of his heart. In a moment when I truly needed support, I received kindness from a complete stranger. Thank you, Serhio, for your warmth, your compassion, and your humanity. What a pleasant cafe. Their service staff took good care of us. We liked our food. The portions were nice and the spices were just right. Everything was fresh and prepared with care and attention. You do not get this in the chain restaurants. Thank you.

A Hidden Gem in Grogan’s Mill My wife and I stopped here for lunch after spotting Lucky Cafe Pho in a small shopping center in the older part of The Woodlands near Grogan’s Mill. It feels like a well-kept secret, mostly known to the locals — and what a great find! The food was excellent — fresh, piping hot, and packed with flavor. I had the Char-grilled Lemongrass Chicken Vermicelli, and my wife enjoyed the Tofu Vermicelli — both beautifully presented and delicious. They also offer a good variety of vegan options, which is a big plus. Service was friendly, fast, and attentive. The staff made us feel welcome right away. The atmosphere was clean, bright, and cheerful. Despite the small parking lot, we had no trouble finding a space. Another bonus: you can pay with Toast, which made checkout super fast and easy. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and craving great Vietnamese cuisine. We’ll definitely be back!
