Ordered from here one night while I was staying in a nearby hotel. So I ordered the food thru grub hub. The food came quickly and was hot. The portions were large and filling. I enjoyed the gumbo a lot. The jambalaya definitely was not my favorite jambalaya. The meat in the jambalaya tasted good but the rice was bland, definitely needed some heat. The fried chicken was good as well as the catfish. Overall I would order again.

This was my first time here. I have seen this chain around town and wanted to try it. The employees were very nice and courteous. The fish and shrimp were good. A few things I didn't like. I ordered the catfish and shrimp combo, like I said the food was good but, they only give you one target sauce which is not enough for the amount of food. Of course they had to charge me for an extra target sauce and also for a drink refill. The other thing that I noticed was the floors were dirty. You could see dirt, crumbs, etc. You would think that they could give it a quick sweeping. I would also like to see cleaner restrooms. I do plan on trying some of the other Good, just some things need to be addressed.

I've passed by here many times, but never had an opportunity to try them out. On this particular day, I actually had time to stop. I must say that I wasn't too impressed. I liked the value of the meal that I got, but there wasn't anything that special about the food. I think it was the Tuesday special that I got. You get 2 pieces of chicken, a side (I chose fries), a roll/biscuit (I don't remember which one is offered, but I don't eat bread so I didn't get one anyway), and a drink. I also added a side of fried okra. I was expecting a little more from the chicken being that the place is named Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken. The chicken was just regular to me. The sides were fine, but I just wanted more from the chicken like a little kick or a unique seasoning blend. I tried it, but it wasn't enough to get me to come back.

I used to really love this place to the point where I used to go every week. I like taking pictures of food also. My meal from last weekend was a downer. The pictures show the difference in sizes. The chicken tenders were more like chicken fingers. It's almost as if they took the older tenders and cut em in half. I think I overpaid for it. I'll probably check out other locations to see if the same is being done there. The management should really look into this. You guys make the best fried chicken in Houston IMO.

GOOD FOOD/POORLY RUN They have very good chicken if you like your chicken greasy and spicy like I do. They have service issues so if you like everything efficient and perfect, this is NOT the place to go. Timeliness: Do not go during the lunch hour unless you have some extra time to wait. Because you will wait at least 15 minutes even if you are the only customer in the place. Out of stock: I haven't figured out why they bother having a menu because they are often out of basic ingredients, like chicken breasts. I was told that the chicken breast were on back order until Thursday--really? Don't look at the dumpster that is right by the drive through window. The dumpster does not appear to get emptied--ever--so there is usually a big collection of trash right outside the restaurant. I am not sure why they haven't gotten in trouble with the city. Nice staff: The staff are very friendly and never rude or impolite. With a big smile, they will cheerfully hand you the wrong order and charge you for extra items that are not in the bag; so always double check before driving away.
