ForLing's has been our preferred choice for Chinese takeout. The majority of the meals are both tasty and fulfilling. Today, I enjoyed the special noodle dish, which consists of egg noodles, vegetables, beef, chicken, and shrimp. The smoky taste of the stir-fried meal was perfectly balanced.

I really wanted Won Ton Soup and some Ribs for lunch. I started scouring the Grubhub and doordash app for places. I also googled and looked on yelp to see reviews and such. I ordered through Grubhub and my food came in about 45 mins. I started on my ribs first. They had a great flavor but were a little bit too tough for me. The Won Ton soup looked really weird. I have never seen it come with Veggies but hey Veggies are good. When I tasted the juice, it was very bland and did not have the flavor of Won Ton soup at all. The wontons were mostly just the noodles. There were only 4 actual wontons and they were not filled at all, just a vey small amount of Pork in them. I was already dealing with the weirdness of the soup, but for it to be mostly noodles was a huge let down.

I typically order from their lunch menu. It is very reasonably priced for the amount of food that you get. For about $8 get the main dish, rice, choice of soup, and an egg roll. What I like most about Ling’s is that they actually include vegetables in their dishes, like a hearty amount of zucchini in the kung pao. I don’t know why so many other similar restaurants don’t include any sort of green vegetables.

We keep trying this place because it is close and not consistently awful, but I think I've had my last meal from there. I placed an order twenty minutes online before I showed up (while masked up to keep my flu germs to myself), and when I got there, it looked like they had not noticed my online order. (It wasn't like it was super busy and running behind - it was pretty much empty the entire time I was there.) Rather than explaining the situation, they told me it was "almost ready" about five times over the twenty minutes I waited in their empty restaurant. I would have canceled the order if they had been up front with me because my main purpose for ordering there was to get my food quickly because I was sick, but they kept it to themselves. After listening to them argue in the kitchen, finally my food came out. I'm not sure if it was the soup or the flu that upset my stomach, so I'll just focus on the service issue here.

Ordered food last night from this place and something tasted “off” in almost every dish that had broccoli and rice. It almost gives off a taste of moldy water. You know how water starts to create a slime/mold if the filter isn’t cleaned or if water is puddled for too long? That’s how most of the dishes tasted. We ordered the garlic beef - absolutely no garlic flavor and it tasted like mold. Orange chicken- not terrible but not great either Chicken lo Mein- only thing that was good Fried dumplings- very thick dough and since it was a Togo order they were soggy, which I knew would happen. Delivery was fast! I was pleased with that and the person who took my order Over the phone was easy to understand and friendly. Overall very disappointed in the food and will not be returning.
