Cozy place that takes you back to the 90’s when Tejano music and KQQK was a hit in Houston! Delicious Tex Mex food and music that resonates a time when Selena was shining on stage and Emilio Navaira had us all getting in a good workout on the dance floor!

There is a reason why they've been in business since 1970. Family owned and delicious food, great prices. Our parents brought us here from 70s and the food has always been delicious.

I arrived with a friend this morning at just after 11 am. We asked to sit at one of the 2 outside tables. A waiter came out and wiped the table and seats. I ordered the tamales in gravy with rice and beans. It reminded me of the restaurant in a downtown Bryan TX storefront in 1996. Traditional. Tasty. Good service. Good value for the price.

I wasnt amazed either with their food or their customer service. I ordered barbacoa and fajita tacos tortillas were half way burnt both tortillas are from pre packed none homemade and everything I asked for I was told would be an extra charge (Salsa, Lime, lettuce etc) I feel it does matter how you relate the info to your customer and the politeness of your words. The nacho and cheese was mid, the queso was kind of hard to dip in. Would not recommend if you’re a Mexican food lover and know your meats and are critical of good food. Their prices have gone up from what they used to be as well, nothing wrong with that but quality should be superior.
