The food and service are amazing. We were on the Houston area for a Simone Biles Camp and happened upon this restaurant for amazing reviews and went for dinner Saturday and then went back for early Sunday lunch again before leaving back to Dallas. It's a family owned restaurant that cares about their customers. We were hugging "Mama" and her daughter on our way out as we were made to feel so welcome. "Pappa" who was the chef came out to greet us and all the customers. Everything was AMAZING but my favorites are the Ox Tail with Rice, Shrimp and Grits (best I've ever had), Fried Chicken (Reminded me of my Grandma's) and Peach Cobbler. This will be a stop anytime we make back to Houston. There was live music and DJ Saturday night."Mama, please please please come start a franchise in Dallas-Fort Worth.

This place has some good tasting food! They are small and family run. Please give the waitstaff some patience. Hopefully that part of our next visit will be much improved, but the food was ON POINT!! I’d gladly go back. I need to taste more.

This is a rare gem! A fantastic family run restaurant that will have you believing you are sitting at your granny's table eating food straight from the garden , the farm animals and catfish pond. These establishments need to be recognized for upholding true blue southern cuisine. The fried chicken was juicy but not greasy. The catfish perfectly seasoned and breaded. Those collard greens... flavorful with a smokey taste. I don't know why it's not busier but it just gained one regular family today!

My husband and I love and know good food. Everything we ate was awesome. Seasoned just right. Not too much spice (like some soul food restaurants tend to do). We will be back this weekend! BTW, the BBQ is cooked by someone who really knows how to smoke meat. Totally cooked on the pit. None of that oven activity.

I used to order to go when the Restaurant was located in Spring, finally located them in Conroe. Beautiful location, friendly staff, and the owners treated us as friends. I noticed they have a upstairs room for large private parties. The stuffed Turkey Legs, Collar Greens and Broccoli Rice was very delicious. I will be going back with my family. Next time I’m ordering the Brisket and Fried Catfish on my next visit.
